And what about the G-Slate frome LG smart guy ?

HDMI out ? Check
1080p recording ? Check
Flash ? Check
Tegra 2 ? Check
Honeycomb ? Check
Thousands of apps ? Check

Playbook apps ? ZERO

LG Slate isn't very cool to even consider. So are other tablets like ASUS, Galaxy Tab and such.

Andriod apps for Phones (and those built with 2.2 SDK) don't count.
You should only count Tablet specific Honeycomb SDK built apps for a fair comparison.

Uh, any more argument instead of just saying "Playbook is the best, blabla is s h i t" ?

All the games already available for phones will run without any modifications, does it count ? Yes of course, games are very important for devices like tablets.

How many games for the Playbook...

I looked at galaxy TAB and it was too small for me. 7 inch is a fail. I need 9-10 inches tablet. 7 is too small.

That's why the 7" tablets do not compete against the iPad. They are really in a different market catering to those who'd want a combination of PMP and a web browsing device bigger than their smartphones but still small enough to be used outside. Apple won't address that market right now it's up to others to fill that niche.

While I agree with some of you ideas.. I cannot agree that iPad is not going to compete with playbook. It will. Why? The price, money. Dinero.

Will Playbook be cheaper than iPad? No. Maybe it will be priced similarly, but it won't be cheaper.

So, people will complain and say why does 7 inch tablet cost more or as same as 9.7 inch iPad?

At the end, it's the money.

Besides business, the first thing that comes to my mind is all the college kids using Blackberrys because of BBM. I think the Playbook could be quite popular with that crowd and similar BB owners. Over half of Blackberry buyers are non-business.

There is a movement already where some schools are using the iPad already. Some businesses already using the iPad,too. Playbook has a stiff competition from iPad in interprise already.

Once again, the iPad killer is something that doesn't exist. Playbook won't even exist with in a year after its release.

Another fail by RIM.

I thought the OS looked nice, and it coped well with true multi-tasking very well under tests, but Im still happy with my iPad :D

No, you WANT a 9-10 inch tablet. Nobody NEEDS anything apart from air, food, water and shelter.

How can anyone compare the playbook and the ipad2 as the ipad2 isn't even out yet?And even if it were it's baseless and meaningless to compare two devices that target two very different category of persons. The playbook is great for business users and the ipad is great for it's fabulous entertainment aspect.

How can you compare the playbook when it isn't even out yet?

The iPad is being piloted or used by almost all of the Fortune 500 already. It's THE business device of 2011. So for you to dismiss it as just an entertainment device is silly.

Hi!I didn't mean to tout the ipad as an only play and no work device, infact i myself use it for online banking and creating documents.I just called the playbook a device which is specifically targeted towards business users, that doesn't mean one can't use the ipad for business.I apologize if you got the wrong impression.Thanks.

The playbook looks cool but it is still a 7" tablet which IMO is to small to do anything useful on.

At 9.7" you still have a cramped keyboard that is still usable with two hands, at 7" the keyboard is still too wide for thumbs, but too small for two hands.

Plus with capacitive screens icons, buttons and all other UI elements you have to touch need to be a certain size, which means the usable space on the 7" is taken up even more by toolbars and other UI elements.

It might be a better format for reading or watching movies, but a larger screen would increase its versatility.

OK, fair enough, sorry I got the wrong impression.
