Update on the cable situation. It fixed ... everything. No crashing in Blizzard games anymore. No lag in Blizzard games (used to have a .5 second input lag). My wife can put her Mac to sleep with a video on a tab without the EGPU crashing now. This is a night and day difference. My Parallels W10 instance runs much better now.

Shame on Sonnet for having such cheap Thunderbolt 3 cables I guess.

Wonderful news! A working eGPU is a night and day difference in graphical performance. Yeah, it is a shame that these eGPU manufactures skimp on one of the most important parts of the setup. Luckily though, there is a fix. I feel too many people have issues and never think/try to replace the TB3 cable.
