I also have Band of Brothers on DVD now, and I got Jade Empire for XBox. Add to that the 12 pack of Guinness Draught I got yesterday, it should be a fun day :D

I have all my anime powerbook, powermac, 40 year old virgin on right now, and am ripping a chapter of FLCL to then make an avatar of commander amuro. Still snowing like crazy for another 5-7 hours here

Close to 2 feet here and the heavy snow bands are about done, Haven't seen snow this bad since the 96 storm.

i remember back in 95 when the Maritimes got pounded with this storm, now THAT was fun

Just for perspective...here in northern Ohio, where we typically get at least a piece of storms like this, if not the whole thing...we got a few inches. Nothing horrible or out of line with other snowfalls this winter.

My sympathies, folks. At least it happened on a weekend, so there was no horrible rush hour snarl.

I live in north central CT. We only got 16-17 inches. :(

My dad and I went out this morning when there was about 12"-13", some of the roads weren't plowed. We did just fine in our Discovery.

The weatherman said we got about 20 inches in our city. Seems about right. I dug out three cars. My sister's CRV, lacking 4WD or AWD was hard to pull out. My Explorer was able to rip through the snow with some minimal digging. All of my neighbors still digging out their cars sorta looked in awe. For once, I was proud of my gas guzzler, too. :) And my dad's old Ford Escort from 1992 or 1993 had an easier time than my sister's CRV despite its 2WD and it was in some really deep snow.

The main roads look okay. Streets are a little shoddy, especially mine because we're at the bottom of a hill so everything melts and re-freezes at our part of the street.

I'm hoping school will close or be delayed tomorrow.

Glad we finally got some snow.

It's times like this i'm glad i live where i do, 28 degrees celcius here yesterday, and to think i haven't even seen a single snow flake in my life:rolleyes:

that's sad, it really is. I can't imagine a life without snow, it would be just depressing. I love winter

I feel the same way, we have had only 2 major snowfalls this season, one being in december and this one. I really didn't think we were going to have another snowfall. Good thing I was wrong, I love snow. Although I hate shoveling snow, because then I will mess up the serene landscape.

Anyways, Im just happy there isint any school tomorrow, Had a history project due too. :D :D :D :D :D

Can you send it up this way to Minnesota? We haven't had a REAL blizzard in about 10 years. :( I miss the days when we got half a day or entire days of nothing but whiteout conditions. :(

"Blizzard 2006"?

Okay then, what I expect from Blizzard in 2006 is Starcraft : Ghost, some big improvements to WoW, and hopefully some news on Starcraft 2 and possibly Diablo 3. :p

This wasn't a blizzard. A Nor'Easter, yes. But not a blizzard. We only got 14" (at most, I didn't measure) of fluffy powder. Heck, I still have to go school tomorrow (well, so far. My father has the day off  ).

I'd luuvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv to be in NYC when it's snowing, I've just been watching it on BBC News 24 and it looks beautiful. :)

You guys on the the East Coast are spoilt every year, yet I haven't seen any snow since about November in the UK, and Britain's already beginning it's annual drought. :(
