Ok. Was experimenting with some settings and kept pulling up blank pages. Think I've got it rectified now. Thanks.

actually... we may have changed something... but not with the intention of blocking content blockers.

looking at it.

well, it appears to be an incompatibility with purify. Was that what you are using?

I was tweaking settings and that was one I was tweaking, yes.

That particular app can be toggled on/off in free version, or in the paid version users can toggle many settings.

I was messing around with "all on" on MRF wouldn't load.

I had an issue with Macrumors and Purify today too, but I whitelisted it and all seems to be working fine now. Macrumors will probably be one of the few sites I keep whitlisted anyway. Everyone playing with content blockers must be driving the admins here bonkers the last few days. :)

Agreed. I'm not a sponsor yet, but MR's ads are generally non-intrusive and MR actively seeks out unethical ads.

I misspoke earlier: it wasn't Purify but rather 1Blocker that was "all-or-nothing" and seemed to be giving me blank pages.

Link? I don't see uBlock in the App Store
uBlock, preferred by most of the users because it is lightweight and fast.
The same phenomenon can be experienced with AdBlock as well, i.e. frequent blank pages after swipe-back. You won't find it in App Store either. Link provided.
With uBlock blank pages are happening not so often as with AdBlock. In both cases only reloading of the actual page solves the problem.
Thank you for looking into it.
