I pay €3 per month for 200gb of iCloud storage and I pay $4 per month(!) for a digital New York Times subscription, which is ridiculously cheap in my opinion, and €9 per month for Videoland (dutch Netflix) and €10 for Spotify.

so roughly €26 per month for ‘my entertainment’. That’s quite a good price! Curious what Apple is going to offer, although I wonder if they will release these bundles outside the US.

I’d like News and TV, but I just can’t bring myself to pay that much for what they have to offer. Maybe if I had an iPad to consume the News, iPhone is too small.

I pay for Music but I rarely use it. It does come in handy and other family members use it, but not that often. With a bundle, I wouldn’t feel as guilty about it.

It would also be nice to have one charge each month instead of the several I have going to Apple.

Bundling will happen. Tim and company are feeling the heat from the 10+ million paying subscribers Disney+ is getting.

Unlike Apple TV+, Disney+ actually substantiated it's claim of "millions." And, a lot of those millions will be PAYING customers on 11/19.

How many paying customers will Apple have this year? How many paying customers does Apple even have in these forums? Not many.

Well ATV+ is free when you buy iPhone which millions are doing so...

Maybe bundle it as 2, 3, or 4 services of customers’ choice instead of Apple making the bundle we don’t want.

Not that many permutations but everyone could be satisfied with whatever bundle they want or need.

Bundle Apple Music, Apple TV+ and iCloud storage and I'll listen. I have absolutely no interest in a bundle that includes Apple Arcade or Apple News+.

Speaking of, is Apple News+ even doing well? Judging from what I've been reading, it doesn't seem that successful.

People don't want to pay $9 for stuff they can get from Google for free :)

I think a high number probably took Verizon up on the free year of Disney+ they are offering as well. I know I did.

Why not bundle everything they offer? A bundle with iCloud Storage 2TB, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and I guess News as well (it isn’t available in my country so I really do not know what it offers). Price at around $25 and maybe around $40 for the whole family.

Apple TV+ sucks, Apple Music sucks, Apple Arcade sucks, Apple News sucks, Apple sucks.

Apple TV+ is great, Apple Music is great, Apple Arcade is great, Apple News is great, Apple is great.

mods, just put this post in every services related thread and close down comments. This is the summary of every thread.

100% agree. Forums would be a much better place if people realized that no one cares whether they like something or not, but rather, are looking to engage in thoughtful and interesting dialogue.

How ironic that many of these standalone subscription services are slowly coming full circle back to bundles. Disney with Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+, Apple with Apple TV+/Apple News+/Apple Music, CBS All Access, etc...

I fully expect a "return" to one single cable subscription where the "channels" are "smart" as in they are basically just the apps we've been downloading on our Apple TVs so they have way more functionality than traditional TV channels.

I currently subscribe to Apple Music. I love it!

If they were to throw in the other two services at NO additional cost, I’d still turn it down.

Ok, maybe if they added TV+ for $.50, I might do it. But leave the “news” out.

Of the three, Apple News terrible from the interface, to outages, to slow loading, not Apple quality. Compare Apple News to Google News. One third of the bundle needs major fixing before I would consider purchasing.

Most bundles almost always include something you don't really want.

Whatever bundles Apple end up offering, expect News+ to be a part of it.
  • Apple Arcade: $4.99
  • Apple Music: $9.99 to $14.99
  • Apple News+: $9.99
  • Apple TV+: $4.99
That's $29.96 to $34.96.

My guess: the bundle include all 4 services (with Apple Music Family plan) and it will be called Apple+ and priced at $24.99/month -- $9.97 savings.

The report indicates that Apple has included a provision in its contract with Apple News+ publishers that permits Apple to bundle News+ with its other services if it desires. The monthly price of the bundle would presumably be lower than the cost of paying for each service separately in a bid to attract more subscribers.
I think Apple News app is serviceable but I often prefer to use publisher's website.

If Apple and publishers want wider adoption of Apple News+, publishers should support "Sign in with Apple" to bypass the paywall (Apple will also need to provide support to verify News+ subscription status).

If publishers have their own subscription plan, offer only recent contents to News+ subscribers, along with an upgrade plan that unlocks full contents.

A bundle is a no brainer but I’m sure someone will be getting screwed in the process. Hence I’d be surprised if Apple Music was included. Record labels will say no thanks.

If News+ had NYT I'd be in, without it I don't find anything compelling about the service.

Wasn't the point of News+ that it combined may different outlets to increase diversity. I understand not subscrbing because you don't read the news, or feel you get enough already, and I don't argue that adding NYT wouldn't be better... but not subscribing because it doesn't have one specific source???

I imagine the bundle will cost more than Apple Music and Apple TV separately as it includes News. Although I would only be interested in a bundle with those two.

They might take the same approach Disney did with ESPN+. Disney/Hulu/ESPN is the same price as Disney and Hulu without ESPN+.

whats more credible than the news sources them selves... all of my local news channels are on Facebook

Sounds like you might suffer from location bias. Do you also follow news channels that report on your area but are not located nearby? How do you know if your local reports reflect the whole story without someone like Robin Roberts guiding you?

/s for you.

/s for everyone!

I prefer getting my news from social media, but from a carefully groomed list of reporters and credible publications. Not from Uncle Joe, who posts from blog sites that say the world might be flat.

Again Joe. Ugh. I can't keep linking to Snopes every time he posts a meme suggesting the constitution protects him from climate change teaming and minorities who want to give his guns autism.

The fact that news orgs didn't insist on a no-bundling provision is a good demonstrator of why news orgs have terrible business development people and why they're all going out of business.

All the other sectors will have at least approval of any bundling that they can use to protect their revenue shares.

dont want TV+ or news+ what so ever.....give me apple music and apple video (movies) libraries and ill listen.

As someone who already owns all the G-Swift and Limp-Z albums I plan to get I see the music component of a bundle driving up my costs without adding value. A pick what you need bundle would be nice, but I don't see a Humble Apple Bundle coming anytime soon. That said, if they had a Books+ and Podcast+ service that added all you can read and listen to rival Kindle Unlimited and Audible....

Cause remember they sell text and audio books and neither of those have a + version yet!

People don't want to pay $9 for stuff they can get from Google for free :)

Hence why ESPN+ doesn't drive up the Disney/Hulu bundle.

They might take the same approach Disney did with ESPN+. Disney/Hulu/ESPN is the same price as Disney and Hulu without ESPN+.
If you are using annual billing, Disney bundle's $12.99/month isn't quite as generous:
  • Disney+: $69.99
  • ESPN+: $49.99
  • Hulu: N/A (only offer monthly)
That's $191.86/year vs. $155.88/year for Disney bundle -- or saving of $3/month in favor of Disney bundle.

The "cheapest" bundle isn't even Disney bundle. If you signed up for Disney+ with D23, you prepaid for 3 years of Disney+ at $47/year. Combine that with annual ESPN+ plan ($49.99/year) and you will get $5.99/month credit toward Hulu (which you can use toward ad-free plan as well). That comes to $8.08/month.
