Apple Prime+ProXDRAnd call it... iTunes+?
Apple Music is doing good tooThis isn’t exactly rocket science. Apple has to bundle a key service that people care about such as amazon did with shipping.
Problem is, that key service is likely to be doing well already and Apple doesn’t exactly want to take from it to bolster the low performing ones.
IMO that’s AppleCare. That’s Apples version of free prime shipping. But it also drives their services growth.
Most bundles almost always include something you don't really want.
Whatever bundles Apple end up offering, expect News+ to be a part of it.
That's $29.96 to $34.96.
- Apple Arcade: $4.99
- Apple Music: $9.99 to $14.99
- Apple News+: $9.99
- Apple TV+: $4.99
My guess: the bundle include all 4 services (with Apple Music Family plan) and it will be called Apple+ and priced at $24.99/month -- $9.97 savings.
Add in 200GB iCloud storage and 2 x free HD movie rentals per month and I'd be all over this.
Sure, “sources familiar with the matter.”Lol. Look at the front page of this website.
Sure, “sources familiar with the matter.”
One is a disgruntled publisher who is making less than expected. Since publishers are paid based on time spent reading their articles, maybe that publisher’s content is less compelling than readers expected.
The other source says revenue growth is less than expected. That could be, apparently Apple is not advertising it much (so far, at least). But I haven’t read anything about publishers quitting the platform.
Maybe 20-30k a month is better than nothing, even for the source that’s complaining. Most publishers are struggling to stay afloat, why not take the extra money? Papers like WaPo and the NYT can get their own subscribers but not many others can. That probably why they signed up in the first place, right?
Nice content-free postWelcome to last week. We’re still waiting for a new subscriber.
