There's no way they're going to produce a device like this. Motors are noisy and a warranty issue waiting to happen.

If Apple were to do something like this, a more sensible approach would be to use an array of cameras (or a single camera with optics to be able to capture an entire room) and software to correct the fisheye effect. This could follow the user digitally, not through motors.

I don’t see a reason for such a product since it sounds redundant when it comes to Apple. Maybe a TV bar with HomePod and camera? Maybe. But it seems like they’ll need an AirPlay 3. HomePods do not work well with Apple TV.

I really wouldn't mind a HomePod with a small screen to show you an alarm clock, timers, current song playing, stuff like that... but I really don't want a camera on these devices.

And you can mount it on a Roomba so it follows you around the house from room to room!

I love the idea of bringing back Apple designs like the iMac arm. This might be too far out there, but I do like how Apple will recycle an idea in a new way, years later.

honestly that mockup design really makes it feel like this is what the iMac design always wanted to blossom into. it only makes so much sense.

SOUND GOOD TO ME!

A friend of mine who works for a school district was describing some 360 cameras (not sure of the brand) they installed that automatically swivel towards the person speaking - basically it is set in the center of the classroom and the distance learning kids have a view of the teacher or the in-classroom kid speaking.

This seems like Apple's take on it
