You mean Apples iPad Pro..hate it when that happens like when you type a whole sentence with the caps lock on

No I meant it as I wrote it. It was a comment aimed at apple. as in apple I don't think you need to worry about people panic buying iPad pros.

Edit: oh I get what you mean as I used an apostrophe for pro's

No such product named “iPhone 12” has been announced by Apple, yet you’re reporting it as fact. And it may even be called the iPhone 11s, so what’s with the tabloid journalism?

Let’s say the iPhone 12 does launch on time this year for ‘mid-September’, and Apple does a online presentation of the keynote versus a live audience gathering. I can tell you/guarantee right now, there won’t be any formulated lines outside Apple stores. I’m sure they’ll be restrictions in various countries/cities that just won’t allow it, unless this pandemic gets under control, which as of right now, that’s totally opposite of what’s happening.

Your "tell/guarantee" is spot-on, Relentless.

This thing is going to linger for twelve or more months, and radically change people's priorities and finances.
But in this forum, the usual posters are in denial. (No offense meant, but one cannot fix stupid, as the saying goes.)

Like Mike Tyson said once (when lucid): "Everyone has a plan until punched in the mouth."

you're so right! and those images have not been confirmed as those of the 11s phones!!! if only this site had the word "rumors" in its name...

but we do though, don't we? unless we upgrade every other year as opposed to every year...

I upgrade every year and it's been at least two years since I've gone to the Apple Store for a new iPhone. They send me my new phone and I've got two weeks to mail back the old phone.

I would
I’m planning on buying the next iPhone

I have the iPhone XS - skipped the iPhone 11 to hold out for the 5G

The 11 Pro has an unbelievable camera but I’m sure the 2020 iPhone will be a huge improvement as well...
I would wait on the 3rd iteration of the 5G iPhone, this is gonna be like the X. I recently realized the X doesn’t even support NFC. So, wait until it matures and save up.

Same deal. Wife and I are still on an 8 Plus. We weren't sold on Face ID with X, but with the goodies under the hood getting solid updates with 11, a 12 is a no-brainer for us.

Unemployment has already skyrocketed since last week and there would be more in the upcoming weeks/months until this virus is under control. No ones gonna buy an $1000 phone in a recession unless they have kept their jobs through this hard times.

I had an iPhone 7 Plus which I gave to my dad for Christmas last year. I purchased a Samsung Note 10 +
However if there is no notch on iPhone 12 and a design like iPhone 4! I think ill be moving back this year :)

Saying this another way, the people who really couldn’t afford this to begin with probably won’t be able to afford this in September. The rest, I don’t know....only know about me.

I bought the maxed out iPhone X, would I buy it now, even though I can? Nope! In fact, I won’t even upgrade to the iPhone 12 because what I have meets my needs. The only reason a small niche often upgrades is as a status symbol. COVID-19 I am sure will change most users priorities. My focus is on ensuring I have a job by the end of May and making sure I can pay the bills, buy food and still save.

I am posting this from a 2017 iPad Pro, I don’t think the process would be any difference on the 2020 iPad. The market will recover, but the issue is, who is gonna come out on the bright side when this is all over.

A reveal event feels like it would be in bad taste right now. Hyping it up will lead to people wanting to gather in lines to try to get one. Maybe just do a silent update this year if you have to do something.

Even better would be lowering production of all their products and focus on making medical supplies. Who do they think is going to buy their phones if people are dead or unemployed? Razer is doing this (https://www.forbes.com/sites/paulta...urgical-masks-to-fight-covid-19/#3c7ddac13bad)

At least Apple can mail the iPhone out to customers - they are way past the stage of relying on days long queues for the latest iPhone to make a news splash.

And Apple have the cash to make a donation of 10 million masks which they have procured, they don't need to reconfigure manufacturing lines.

You mean like when so many posts here bet against Apple and have been consistently wrong?

Also, people who bet against America's will to spend and prosper have also been consistently wrong.

Throwing out "twelve or more months" is just a guess. You have no idea if that will happen. You may be right, but America especially is unbelievable at adapting, innovating, and solving complex problems. You underestimate those abilities.

Just IMO, of course. And this isn't about stocks. Stocks are likely going lower in the short term. I have more cash ready when they do.

Im def getting the (low end) 6.1 inch one...if i feel the need for the 12 pro i may get that one.
