Blue screen of death on a mac?

Nope... running Panther. Happened during the shutdown process.

Thats happend to me before. I always get worried if a computer crashes during shutdown

Hi all

I've been having a bit of friendly banter with someone on another forum. I was talking about how i use my Mac for daily computing and PC for the odd game, work stuff etc.

The person replied with, "I've seen blue screens of death on macs and other general errors".

I've only been using OS X for over a year and have seen my fair share of panics but is there ever a "blue screen of death"?

Yes, this is starting to annoy me I knew it would start to make my blood boil.

I'm not trying to defend microsoft at all, I think they could do so much better, but there is a reason mac has such a small market share and it will never until they really get their act together. If Macs weren't so frikin expensive and gigantic (have you seen the new G5 cases? Its almost as big as my car) I would own one."
