There ain't one, my friend. The Apple mouse is as good as it comes as far as Bluetooth is concerned.

Like I have recommended, don't get any BT mouse right now. Just wait.

All I want is a 2 button BT mouse with scroll wheel that isn't super tiny. It isn't too much to ask. Really. A regular mouse with BT inside is enough, and yet no company can do that. While its absolute crap, The Mouse BT may be the best option out there, even if it feels very very cheap. Apple's BT mouse is 2nd.

Logitech's is 3rd, but is probably the absolute best BT mouse. Only reason it isn't first is because it's so incredibly expensive.

What about the Microsoft BT Mouse?

I had the older MS BT mouse and it worked fine, but when it came near to running out of battery it started acting up. The cursor would jump alround the place and it would somehow cause my Apple BT keyboard to act up too.

From what ive heard, the new one (with the side to side scroll whell) wont work at all.

I know that they're not BT but here's my recommendation: if you have a desktop go with the Logitech MX 1000. I've got it and love it. Great battery life(rechargeable lithium battery/place mouse on base station), lots of buttons that you can program, great feel, OS X supported, did I mention scroll wheel that also tilts? IF you have a laptop....go with the BENQ M310. It's wireless tho not BT. Works right out of the box with OS X. (I got it for my wife's 14" iBook and she loves it). This is one slick mouse. What sold me was a review I read. Scroll wheel plus two buttons. Runs on AA. Will turn off/sleep if not used for a time and wakes easily. The neatest part is that the USB "dongle" fits inside the mouse. Take it out and put it in a usb port and the mouse wakes. When you're done just put it back inside the mouse and the mouse turns off. I think its 800 dpi if that makes any difference. It's small but hey, it's for a laptop. Do a search and I'm sure that you'll find a lot of good reviews.

desktop: Logitech MX1000 (it's laser man, laser.....cool :D )

laptop: BENQ M310

Cheers

anyone have experience with the Kensington BT trackballs? I so dislike the logitech trackballs, but I've been thinking about going for the Kensingtons, although the whole battery life issue is a major pain.

Logitech MX900

I use MX900 bluetooth mouse for my PB. No software installation is required as my PB was able to connect with MX900's bluetooh signal in a few seconds. Even though you cannot take advantage of additional buttons (likes ones on the side), at least you have the right/left buttons and scroll wheel. Rechargeable battery; so no need to replace battery. Also, you don't need to attach the base station to your Mac as recent PBs come wih internal BT.

But, for the ulitmate mouse experience, MX1000 Laser is the best. it comes with the driver to provide you with all the features this mouse offers.

i've got the iogear bt mousemini and couldnt' be more impressed...great for travel, the middle button (the click wheel) works great for expose'.....i'd give it an A+.....i was expecting some lag between my mouse moving and the arrow but there is none....

the best part of it is....you can charge it up while you use it.....stick it into the USB and your batteries will be charged...awesome mouse....

MacMice

go to Macmice.com or dvforge.com the MacMice BT mouse as mentioned earlier is a fantastic mouse, scroll wheel, two button that looks just like an Apple mouse, I use a silver one with a G4 PB and it is very responisve. If you want to save batteries make sure that you turn it off when it is in transport to save batteries, otherwise if it just left on a desk it will go into battery save mode on its own. great response. wakes computer, no lag. I wouldn't use any other mouse.

How long do the batteries last you?

Microsoft BlueTooth Mouse.

I have got a Microsoft BlueTooth mouse and I think it is OK. One problem I used to have with it was that it kept disconnecting. I doesn't do it anymore for some reason. I am waiting for USB overdrive to work with Bluetooth mice so I can get the two buttons on the side of the mouse to work propery.

I would say that the Macally BT Mouse Jr fits that description. I'm not sure why it's a "Jr" as it's a normal sized mouse. It has R and L click as well as clicking scroll wheel. Also, it's nice and plain looking.

The Macally BT Jr arrived at my door a week ago. It's the only BT mouse I've used so I can't make a comparison to any other. I like the size, it feels well made, and it functions as I expect it to. It looks great next to my PB; I recommend it.

I've been using a BT500 mouse all week. It's been brilliant. Only downsides it's small (but I've been using it as my travel-mouse with my PB) and the pitiful battery life (just over a week!).

I wish they made a bigger version. (maybe they do!)

I just bought an Apple Bluetoth mouse today and I love it. It's smooth and there's no lag at all. I also got a good deal on it too, $45. I was going to buy the two-button BT mouse from DVforge but it's a bit pricey.
