i wouldn't normally recommend Beats, but having had major fit problems with the bluebuds, I now use a pair of the powerbeats2 and really like them - not as bassy as other Beats, good connectivity, super secure and comfy, and comparable battery life. I'd give them a look.

was unaware BB manager discount is that high, must be per category.

It's just an employee discount (managers don't get anything better).

It is absolutely per category though. Biggest discounts are on cables. If you are happy with rocketfish or dynex, most cables that run $10-$20 will go for mere dollars (or cents). Dynex just launched lighning cables. Haven't looked into those, but I should.

Additional warranties are also really cheap. I am talking like a couple bucks for their cheapest items to around $20 for their more expensive items. We always get it because we are saving way more on the employee pricing anyway. We've had to use them a couple of times, too.

There is very little discount on most Apple products, movies, video games, pre-built computers, etc. if ANY.

Sometimes manufacturers will give you special discounts ordering factory direct. We got our dyson vacuum that way as well as our klispch surround system.

Not a fan of the over the ear loops.

I have an older Sony MW600 headset (see link). I liked the idea of being able to use the Apple earbuds and have the playback/volume controls separate (handy while wearing a helmet when out snowboarding). The clip broke recently so I'll probably replace it with this Sony headset or maybe the Blue Buds X or maybe another headset from this thread. I don't know because I want to make sure that the Siri voice controls work and that I can pair 3 devices. I appreciate the recommendations.

I just did all the research and you won't find better. - 8hr battery life. Good fidelity - plays well with iphone.

Won't feel like you got ripped off - unless you wanna just rock beats by dre - which my gf wants to do despite me telling her how much they are over priced. She DGAF.

Lg all day err day. I can do double unders, run, power clean, box jump, handstand push up, and all decline work no problem. 10 hour play time. Sync with laptop/phone for Lync work calls. Control music/volume/Siri.

Best ever.

Sony NWZWS613BLK

I picked these up last month... they have been by far my favorite set of headphones ever used at the gym. They can store 4gb of music and are bluetooth. They sound great after you EQ them using the Sony Songpal app (which you only need to do once) and make sure you turn on HQ audio mode (Apt-X or AAC) otherwise the standard compression is the worst I've heard in 6 years.

The only caveat is that in BT mode they only last 3.5 hours... give or take. In music player mode they last a full 8 and have a quick charge for 1 hour of music in 3 min of charge from dead battery.

The fit on them is perfect for me, though there is quite a bit of suction on your ear canals. The buds themselves are smaller than Jaybirds Blue Bud X, which I got rid of after testing them out for 2 weeks because they kept falling out of my ears. But these retail for 10 bucks less and you get so much more. You can even swim with them on, they include sealed ear tips for swimming and also include a finger remote for running. The finger remote CAN control your phone's music/Pandora/Spotify as well as the music stored on the player, it depends on which mode you're using.

I lost 38 pounds then added 10 pounds of muscle with the Jaybird Bluebuds X and comply tips. I just put them in and it was magic.

I did have to send 2 pairs in for warranty issues but they are guaranteed sweat proof for life. They really are awesome and worth the money. I just throw my gym bag with my phone in it in the corner and hit it hard.

Good luck in your search.

I'll be picking up a pair of these this week hopefully. The lifetime warranty is definitely a good thing for me. I sweat just thinking about working out.

LG as in brand? Can you be more specific?

Price is good. I might grab something like this as backup. What is real world usage time?

Whoops. LG Tone. Around $50 on Amazon. iPhone calls/music/Lync/podcast from 5am till 6pm. Gym and commute in AM then all day at work.

I just purchased the Powerbeats 2 Wireless and so far I like it. I typically don't like in ear headphones but these fit comfortably and sound pretty good.

Last week I purchased Plantronics Fit and while it was nice they were a pain to put on properly and the buttons were too small and very hard to press. The buttons also had bad tactile feedback. I returned it the next day.

Prior to these headphones, I was using over the ear - behind the neck headphones from Amazon which are great but felt bulky wearing them in the gym.

So I went on a half marathon this weekend and I have to say these buds with stock tips were awful. Seems once you get a good sweat going there isn't anything that is going to keep them in your ears. That's a shame...

Ordered the memory foam tips, I just don't feel that is something I should necessarily have to do on an item that retails over $160... Oh well, such is life.

Around 8 hours listening to music. Had them about a month now and I stand by my initial assessment, absolutely awesome. Great sound, easy to use with voice prompts, great value.

As much as I like the Blue Buds X sound, the ear gels and wings constantly come loose. Does using the Comply Foams prevent that?
Yes. But I will say my blue buds x sounds amazing on my note 5. They sound like crap on my iPhone 6s Plus
