I switched from a 3G to a 3GS and AT&T promptly removed my old TMS4 and put me under the new $15/1500 plan.
I called a rep and asked them to add it back in, but to no avail. Spoke with someone in the resolution dept (I believe this dept is for people who want to cancel service?) and they were unable to add it as well.
Both people said the old plan had expired, and the new one was required to having functioning text messaging with the iPhone. From what I understand, the new plan is required for SMS, but not MMS, correct? I honestly feel like I'm getting the run around.
The CSR also informed me that had I kept my 3G and not upgraded to the 3GS, that the existing TMS4 plan would work fine. How does that make sense? I give AT&T $$$ and 2 more years worth of business, and they raise my bill? Bummer..
