....not being funny or anything but I have never seen the appeal of any of these cases for the iPhone - full stop.

Why would someone choose to have their shiny iPhone in a case that :

1. ...is bulky
2. ....would NEVER fit in your trouser/jeans pockets
3.....looks like a book
4....when you want to make a call, you have to fold the case back on itself, which doubles the thickness of the case itself and exposes all your cards to whoever is watching you talking into your phone.

:confused::confused:

1. It's a book style wallet case with 5 card slots and a pocket for cash. What do you expect?
2. My iPhone 6 Plus fits fine in my pocket with all the cases I've had so far including my Otterbox
3. That's why it's called BOOK BOOK. I personally like the stylish look of the case. To each their own.
4. As someone stated, Bluetooth. I almost always have my LG Tones on me so its no problem. Plus it has a built in case that can detach from the wallet so you don't have to put the entire wallet up to your face when you take a phone call.

i just updated my post and include some pics. so far its awesome wallet

EDIT: NVM - just realized this was a iphone6+

Can you post more pics of the book book closed sideways and maybe a pocket shot or put something next to to give some scale?

I know it's 20mm wide but I'm having trouble finding things to shove in my pockets that would be similar in size/feel.

Only thing holding me back is I do wear skinny jeans sometimes and I'm uncertain how buldgey/thick it would feel.

I really want this case after apple announced magnets were a nono for cases - which meant dock artisan was no longer an option.

Not any more bulky than a wallet holding all my ID and cards, then having a separate phone in a case outside of that.

2. ....would NEVER fit in your trouser/jeans pockets

The BookBook I have on my 4S fits in my pocket just fine, and no thicker than the wallet I used to carry.

3.....looks like a book

It looks very classy, especially when paired with the BookBook I have for my iPad mini and the BookBook I have for my MBA.

Ever hear of a Bluetooth device?

Yep. You're definitely confused.

....you need to check this out then:

A wallet case which is less than half the size of the book book and is not even bulky, it holds WAY more stuff than the book book, you can make calls WITHOUT exposing all your cards and WITHOUT a bluetooth device UNLIKE book book - and actually looks way better than book book.

I don't even expose my cards when dialing. My BT device can activate Siri, so I can tell her who I want to call. Plus, I don't know of anyone opens the BookBook completely open to dial, let alone talk on it. It's leather, not some paper magazine you pick up off the newsstands at a grocery store.

Question for you: Do you drive, and if so, do you talk on your phone while you drive?

If the answer to those is yes and yes, you may want to check the laws in your state/area with regards to using your phone while driving. Over here in California and Nevada, it's become illegal to be on your phone and drive without using a hands-free device, like a BT earpiece. So there's a good 95% chance that you have a BT device or earbuds that you can use for your phone that eliminates the need to put your phone to your ear anyway.

But now we come down to aesthetics, which basically means "to each their own". I'd take the classy leather over the plastic. My home was broken into 3 years ago, and that day I left my MBA at home, in its BookBook, on a bookshelf full of books. The thieves, took things that were obvious to take (TV, PS3, etc.), but totally passed up everything on the bookshelf. I benefited from having my MBA hiding in plain sight, with people believing it is a book and not realizing that it is a case.

You can say I dodged a bullet on that, but I tend to think it as another unknown feature of the BookBook: security through obscurity.

Just received my BookBook for my IP6, these things are excellent. I had one for my IP4 that I've had for more than 3 years, they age so very well, awesome distressing. I carry mine in my front pocket all the time, but I will pull it out when I sit for prolonged periods.

The overall quality doesn't seem to be "quite" as good as the old one but the new features are very much welcomed. Having to carry a real wallet for the last three months until this case arrived has sucked, I love not having to carry a wallet and phone separately.

I love mine, a great solution. For those saying your cards are exposed when talking on your phone, just turn the cards the other way in the slots. I'm a big fan.

I don't know about others who have hated on this design, but for me it's less about the functional aspect but the hokey outer book title and graphics down the spine.

I thought we were done with skewmorphisms. :)

Strange.. My copy of Encyclopaedia Britannica has a similar title format and graphics down the spine.. Surely they must be hokey, too.

I just received mine and I now think this is the best bookbook for iphone that twelve south have released.
The design and usability of it is fantastic but I do worry that the little tabs that hold the phone in the case will break but we'll see what happens.

Approximately how many bills will it hold while still being able to stay closed?

It will stay closed unless you really stuff it, but it will bulge for sure with lots of bills. I try not to carry a lot of bills and fold them according to denomination. 10s and 20s I fold once and fives I fold twice so I can quickly grab what I need. Obviously the fives folded twice bulge more.

I've had many cases for the i4 and always finding myself going back to BookBook and absolutely LOVE the quality/design. Can you post pics side ways with the case close please :D

1) You got that right!

2) Most members on here are American. Americans are known for having... ehh... how to put this lightly... a bit less fashion sense than Europeans and rest of world... so often wear clothes that can accommodate larger items in the pockets. LOL. I'm American so I can say that.

3) I gather based on the name, that's what they were going for. And if you aren't sure, they double book it, so yeah, that's the point.

4) People still uses cell phones to make calls? Sometimes I go a week without using my phone as an actual telephone. The business world doesn't use telephone communication as a primary source of communication anymore. The only time people use phones to talk is when they're bored in an airport walking around aimlessly screaming into their phone about how they're just walking around in the airport waiting to get on their next flight.

I do agree with you though, I think the Book Book product is hideous in general, but then again many of the cases I see people put on their phone are hideous to me, but like peoples' dress and behavior, their phone cover is a statement about themselves, good or bad, so take it for what it is. LOL

Great, thanks for the info. I like your storage method, too.

While I can understand the appeal of a wallet style case, why does it have to look like a hideous old book? It's not fooling anyone, and making it look like a book is incredibly random.

Why can't it just be plain/normal/non-book style?

Because every other wallet case looks almost the same..this book style wallet case is unique in its own way that's my guess and I personally like this style as stated :)

So while talking on the phone as per the advertisement you would be showcasing your ID to a lot of folks. I know its vague but still why would one like to do that to be honest here ?

These book designs are terterrible....horrible. sorry.
I am currently looking for either a flip cover or a case with at least one card slot (my workplace security pass).

Would love suggestions
I really like my Nodus case. Check it out if you haven't already.
