So, the entire MacRumors forums, as everything here is either producing or consuming said text?

Seriously though, and at the risk of sounding liken a broken record, why should there be a separate forum for this when nobody—other than you, thus far—has expressed an interest in it?

Now I see even less of an argument for a specific forum.

And what exactly do 900 threads keyed on "Office" have to do with any of this?

If I search "Word" there are over 900 threads too.

Digital Photography is also the place where people go for their Aperture, Lightroom, whatever questions.

It was just an example showing that there is much more reason that you might think.

Designers have their forum, Photographers have their forum, Musicians have their forum, Videographers have their forum, why don't do Writers have their forum?

People who listen to music have their forum, why don't do people who read books have their forum?

Do you have something you want to discuss right now about "text"?

I started a "future Kindle" thread in the iPad forum and was called a troll.

Those Forums were put in place because there was enough interest shown that it warranted creating them

You are using the "if you build it, they will come" philosophy, but that isn't the way it works here

As I said, start a thread on your interest
See who joins in and discusses and go from there

If you have that many things to discuss, it shouldn't be hard to make several threads

The sharks are feeding in the iPad Forum right now
