I`m sure. He made an exception. Call Apple and describe the issue. You don´t get the engineer instantly. The lady I spoke to, informed him about the issue and forwarded me to him. We talked. He had to inform himself about something. He called me back and said hat he could not clear everything but for him it is a hardware issue and he decided. This watch, which I have hear is already an exchange for one with a swollen battery.

Repair or exchange. I asked if they would send me a Series 1 maybe. He said, that he thinks, that there are still Series o left for exchanges. If not I`ll get what they have.

I´ll keep you posted guys.

Good luck guy!

It seems Apple already know the issues.
However, they don't want to recall all the Series 0. They want to wait for a few months later, until most of the batch 1 Series 0 sold for more than 3 years. They won't replace any series 0 who got more than 3 years.

I own my series 0 since day 1 it release (25 Apr 2015). Just past 3 years.

i updated yesterday (S0) and it did take forever to reboot at the end of the upgrade. so far no other problems but it's been less than 24 hours. i upgraded because my heart rate sensor during workouts is very intermittent, sometimes registering 70-80 BPM for 10 minutes while my real heartrate is 140... was hoping that the 4.3 update might fix that bug.

Finally, I have repaired my S0 because I find my watch no connecting to WiFi in my home.

But it failed during unpair and restoring the backup...

Finally, it repaired successfully if set it up as a new watch. It solved the booting bugs but not WiFi connect bugs.

I wouldn´t be to sure that the booting bug is solved since it happens only sometimes. I told the engineer also that it took a long time until the update showed up.

I had a similar problem with my S0. The watch ran out of battery so I put it onto a charger overnight. The watch got very hot and the next morning I got the white apple! Several force starts later I got things going again. However I don't think the watch had charged overnight and so it soon died.

Back onto the charger. Back to the white apple. Watch again got hot during the charge and managed only 53% after 3-4 hours. Several forced restarts later I got the watch running again and decided to reset/re-pair. Even so, after another 4 hours charging the watch only had 90% charge so I left it overnight. This morning it seems to be running OK but I will have to monitor over the next few days.

Hopefully it will last until a new watch is released!

More information about what?
Info about what they have found or as in my case not found. What to do with the watch. Before I start: The problem is not solved guys!

Step 1: Pair the watch with your phone and set it up as a new watch, without other apps and test it.
Step 2+ 3: Unpair and redo everything but this time with your backup.

Got stuck after step 1 boot loop again... Informed my engineer. He would have called me anyway tomorrow.

The first 1 or 2 reboots were ok. I have had some problems to perform everything because I´m spastic so I can not move my arms and hands so well. Everything set up as new with my stuff but without my apps and activity data. Shut off! Boot... Boot loop! Sh**!

Crown+ side button: AW booted up normal.

I´ve put it on the charger until tomorrow now. I hope you get everything I wrote.

No call today, so I called. A senior has my case now. The other guy missed an important detail: When does it happen?
They used it normally during repair, sure that then nothing will happen. We agreed to wait for watchOS 4.3.1.
