So I got my shiny new iPhone 6 on Friday, and have now given up my JB 5S. Other than the display size and faster cpu I feel slightly bored and waiting. It feels like nothing new just yet. I'm a big apple fan and have owned every iPhone from the beginning expect the 5c, We've owned every iPad in our house also.

I'm a little disappointed in this release as the new features aren't ready yet. We're waiting on Apple Pay, waiting on a fix for the health app extensions, & waiting for Yosemite so we can get handoff. Still love Apple's products but starting to wish they would just try a little harder...

I really don't think that if you upgrade every year, you should be ready to have your socks knocked off with every iPhone release.

It's an improvement in many ways (not going to detail them all again), but if they are seemingly only incremental, then I guess return it?

There's not much to expect from a phone. It already does more than just make phone calls...

The purpose of this upgrade is for people who want the new design, bigger screens, and better specs from their previous iPhones.

Definitely awaiting the JB but of course that hopefully won't come out until after the Apple Pay update at the end of October.

One other thing I can't understand is why does the iMessage app on the 6 not have the contact photos but on the 6+, iPads, & Macs they have them. The screen is big enough to have them. Makes the iMessage app look so blah.

Another feature to isolate the 6+ from the 6 (Kanye shrug)

I would be bored as well if I owned an Iphone. Its totally locked down and cant do anything without Apple's permission. Kinda sad if you ask me.

Yep. This is why I will jailbreak. That and the unlimited Pandora and iTunes Radio skips. :D

The healthkit app is very interesting, but theres a lot of stuff that is cool, but there is also a lot of stuff that leaves more to be desired being an android user where apps have updated so frequently compared to Apple's update cycle.

I got a iPhone 6 Verizon 128 GB. I satisfied my sweet tooth for a Android size phone with lots of storage and of course screen size. I'm happy, yet I will miss my iPhone 5. So with that said, no need to upgrade past one generation when the iPhone 7or 8 should be out in the next two years

Bored already? Sheesh, buy some new HD games or something. :)

Next month when the NFC debuts you'll have plenty of time to scope out your area and see where it works. :)

Idk, I think it's sadder to frequent a forum dedicated to the product that you have no interest in.

I think the only thing left that I'd like Apple to do is let widgets access the lockscreen! They've incorporated so many other jb tweaks, now... But the Notification screen will do for now.

That said, I'm still looking forward to what the jb comm will come out with this year :) Every advance in the base iOS opens up new opportunities for jailbreaking.

Trying out Apple pay may be fun for you...other new iPhone users seem to believe it's a fun experience :D

I came from a 5, so the better camera and finger print stuff is all new to me. I enjoy it. Feels great getting things done on the new iPhones. I can see why it could get boring though.

I wasn't expecting a new phone to be fun. It's a tool. I uograded from the 5. This new phone has faster processing, a significantly better camera, and Touch ID so I don't need to enter that damn passcode thirty times a day.

Upgrading should always be his seamless and subtle. I also feel this is a testament to how great the iPhone 5 is.

EVERY iPhone and EVERY iPad?? That's some *serious* disposable income! I'd be bored too. I'm upgrading from a 4s... therefore it's brilliant! :)

I'm not bored, but I can see what the OP is saying. IOS 6, 7 and 8 seem very similar and visually, not much as changed. I'm happy with the changes and very content with the 6 plus.

Love your subject title. Bored so soon. :D

ios 8 has some new features

If you are bored try making some good videos with slow motion 240 fps or time lapse videos.

Download some of the new apps for ios 8

So you've owned every phone. What got you excited going from the 4S to thr 5? 5 to 5S? Just curious.

I haven;t jailbroken since iOS7, personally.

I mean what do you expect? I was messing around with the galaxy S4 and S5 at the AT&T store and even there the differences were minor. Phones are evolutionary upgrades and not revolutionary ones. After a few days you get used to it and you move on to some other task.
