Hopefully your roll out will be better than Las Vegas'. We've had to toggle it off over here (at At&t's advise). I haven't had this many dropped calls/audio since the iPhone 3!

How does it hold up? Currently with T-Mobile it occasionally drops even in LTE areas. Same with Verizon. I think the carriers have some ways to go before it's as reliable as GSM and 1x.

Been solid so far. AT&T runs a dense cell grid around here. You almost never drop LTE

----------

It doesn't work in Boston for me.

Where are you? Works fine in Brookline.

You might have to get a newer SIM from the AT&T store and then turn on VoLTE in the settings.

It's been live in the DC metro for the past month or more.

Do VOLTE calls count against your data cap?

Nope. Out of your minutes bucket.

----------

Sweet, I will be in Boston tomorrow for my front row seats to Garth Brooks.

Wait, I don't know anything about making a VoLTE call...Does it happen automatically?

Just make sure to enable LTE for voice and data in settings.

And hopefully, you have the correct SIM for it.

Thanks, Mine is 27. Can't wait to see how clear the calls are. I think my AT&T (personal phone) service already sounds better than my Verizon (work phone) on regular voice calls. If it gets better, that's nice.

You'll see how quickly a call connects. It's slick!

Volte is only live in about 15 states so far. ATT is dragging their ass as usual Hopefully we see a bigger rollout soon

They're dragging their "ass" because they don't want their rollout to be a train wreck like VZWs and TMobiles. AT&T is quoting a near 99% call success rate in their volte rollout so far.

Bam.
What he said.
Verizon needed to rush it out to be able to keep customers that want to do voice and data from complaining or leaving.
At&t has been able to do it since back in the 2000's on 3G.
No need to force it and sacrifice reliability imo.

They're draggin their ass because they can. It will still be a train wreck because that's AT&Ts MO. They charge more and spend less. I also wouldn't brag too much about that dense coverage with your screenshots showing 2-3 dots of signal strength Lol.

This is hilarious. They charge more and spend less? Are you serious? Let's look at how much they've invested into their network in the last few years, compared to TMobile or Sprint.

They have over 300+ million POPs of LTE. More LTE than TMobile has EDGE.

You want to talk about dense coverage? Come here and let's compare it to the beloved Uncarrier. Inside my apartment, they can barely muster up weak HSPA. I drop LTE with VZW inside my complex too. AT&T? Nope.
