How does it hold up? Currently with T-Mobile it occasionally drops even in LTE areas. Same with Verizon. I think the carriers have some ways to go before it's as reliable as GSM and 1x.
It doesn't work in Boston for me.
Do VOLTE calls count against your data cap?
Sweet, I will be in Boston tomorrow for my front row seats to Garth Brooks.
Wait, I don't know anything about making a VoLTE call...Does it happen automatically?
Nope. Out of your minutes bucket.

Just make sure to enable LTE for voice and data in settings.
And hopefully, you have the correct SIM for it.
Hope I have the correct SIM it's a pretty new iPhone 6 order directly from Apple.
Thanks, Mine is 27. Can't wait to see how clear the calls are. I think my AT&T (personal phone) service already sounds better than my Verizon (work phone) on regular voice calls. If it gets better, that's nice.
This may be dumb but if you leave LTE will the call automatically go over to 4G?

Volte is only live in about 15 states so far. ATT is dragging their ass as usual Hopefully we see a bigger rollout soon
They're dragging their "ass" because they don't want their rollout to be a train wreck like VZWs and TMobiles. AT&T is quoting a near 99% call success rate in their volte rollout so far.

They're draggin their ass because they can. It will still be a train wreck because that's AT&Ts MO. They charge more and spend less. I also wouldn't brag too much about that dense coverage with your screenshots showing 2-3 dots of signal strength Lol.
