And another rumor claims the 5.5" device will be called iPhone+. Not sure I'm digging that name.

Hm, now I'm not sure.

If the two phones spec-wise are different, I'll go for the better 5.5-inch iPhone, if the are the same spec I'll go for the 4.7-inch as that's ideally what I want.

DEMO in store prior to release date?

Anyone think we'll be able to demo the phones in store prior to the release date? I'd prefer to try both sized phones before committing.

My wallet and apparently my Verizon upgrade are ready.

Anyone with a contract end date greater that September 19th should look and see if there upgrade status has changed early. :)

MacRumors has heard similar news from a reliable source, who has indicated that two different iPhone models are incoming with the larger model shipping at only half the rates of the smaller one.

Larger one 5.5 inches costing half the rates of the Smaller one 4.7 inches!?

Are you sure?

Out of curiosity - have there been any case leaks for the iPhone 5.5in.? I know I've seen them for the 4.7in. I know I've seen parts for both. But I can't recall seeing any cases for the larger one...

Im waiting for Apple to release a 6.5 Inch iPhone.. These phones are too small for my taste...

Want to buy a proper sized iPhone. Hope one is released.
(This rumour suggests one won't be released).

I'd be surprised. Has there been any part leaks for the 5.5" apart from the back cover and battery?

THAT would be ideal. I'd love it if they did this. Not expecting it though. I'm pretty much sold on a 4.7... I don't want to carry around anything as huge as a 5.5 the way I currently carry my 4S. Still, it'd be nice to get an idea.

As it stands, I'll be looking at specs sheets and cutting cardboard to get an idea. Or perhaps an iLego phone. :)
