Bought AppleCare+ after getting my iPhone, now what?

I tried to add AC+ for my iphone 5 that I received today from Verizon. Apple would not allow me to add it because I was required to visit an Apple store. I told them the nearest one was 200 miles away and they still would not add. I had read on the forum that Apple would add if you were more than 50 miles from an apple store, so that was not true. So went with Squaretrade instead.

Should have called back and talked to someone else. No way they should not allow it if you are that far away!

Call AppleCare + sales right now, not normal apple sales nor support and do it again. Tell them others have done this because of the distance involved.

Get back here right away and let us know what happens. Tell them if they don't, the phone goes back. See what they say.
