Hmm. Why are you using the receiver? I know some folks have had better luck using the Logitech receivers, but on my iMac, I just use an MX Master 3 via Bluetooth and it works fine. Have you tried connecting directly without the receiver? I actually really like the 2020 iMac, but the 2019 is great too. I would actually wait for the apple silicon version if I was in the market, but I think the models you have are great.

So, after trying to isolate problems looks like it's related to my logitech mouse/keyboard and a malfunctioning receiver. New receiver and download Logi Center software and thing working much better

I did get them with the computer but neither suits me
Your preference, but my question is - connect the iMac mouse and keyboard and test if you get the issue.

Thanks for the reminder. I have done so much messing with this I wasnt sure which way I have the mouse/keyboard connected. Just checked and I have them on bluetooth and everything has been stable to 2 days

Good to hear. But that is lesson you have to learn. You made a whole thread about the iMac being not worthy while it was your peripherals causing the problem. Apple has nothing to do with your Logitech mouse and keyboard. So, always return to base configuration before blaming Apple!

I'm writing a letter of apology to Apple as we speak

Picked up a 2019 27-inch i9 iMac awhile back and it's been great, even though I really hate some of what Apple has done to later macOSes. Didn't get the 2020 because anything with a T2 in it is a brick waiting to happen.

Lol.. well thats not accurate. Yes some T2 machines had issues with a clean install but its all been addressed, and if it did happen to you Apple would handle it. Been using my 2020 27" iMac for well over a year without an issue.

Well you probably gave up a couple of years of MacOS updates if you care. The T2 iMacs also have much better SSD performance and AMD Navi GPUs.
