I wouldn't. It's definitely shady.

I just described the situation to my wife and she said "Hell no! I would just block him immediately and go on with my life"... lol

You wanted the watch... you now have it... just block that guy and move on.

Congrats on snagging one! Mine will be here on Tuesday....

Two more days for you! Yeah, my wife was feeling the opposite. She was curious as to why he wanted it back, but she doesn't really care either way. I'm keeping it. Think I finally got it all figured out, it's pretty cool.

I'm just gonna let it go for today. If he asks again ill politely tell him i'd rather keep it and leave it at that. I get paranoid as it is and don't want to mess with odd Craigslist requests lol.

I highly doubt its a scam, I bet he got a better offer by email after he met you, and he wants to make the difference.

No scam is going to rely on actually giving you a real apple watch, then leaving the place of transaction, and later by email trying to lure you back. Far more likely he feels like an idiot for taking a lower offer and wants it back now.

But in any case I assume you bought it because you wanted it... so keep it!

If it were me I would email back asking for the reason because it's very odd. Then I would tell him that I would do it for an extra 100-200 and that I would meet at his bank tomorrow and that I need to watch him withdraw the money.

Or if you don't care about making any money and just want to play with your watch just email him back and explain that it's the exact one you have been waiting for and you aren't interested in selling it back.

Send him the link to Craigslist. Tell him he can buy one there.

Lmao...

Anyways seems like seller have a huge buyers remorse or he realized he didn't make much sale. It's your call brah either be nice to him or be a royal douche.

I thought I might find you here. So here's the deal. My sweet granny was in a coma until this afternoon. Well..when she woke up..I was really happy and like....granny...is there anything I can do for you....

She says... What is the date... I say May 3rd.. She says go to the Apple Store and get me a Watch.... Since she was in a coma...she didn't know that Apple didn't do a traditional launch... So I felt bad and contacted you for the watch for sweet granny.

You purchased the watch fair and square, so it's yours to do with as you wish now. If you don't want to deal with the person you bought it from, just ignore him. First of all, it's an Apple Watch, so it's not something important or life-threatening that the buyer might need back.

Plus, you also paid a premium for the device, so it's not your problem that he wants the watch back. If you want to make a profit, then proceed with caution. But otherwise, I would just not respond.

Let us know the outcome!

Sounds like the episode of Better Call Saul with the fake Rolex.

He might want to give you fake bills as mentioned.

Make it simple. Just tell him sorry, but you are not interested in selling. No reason to make it more complicated. Enjoy.

Enjoy your new Watch - there are hundreds on CL he can buy.

I've seen people grab boxes and make a mad dash with stuff at CL meets in coffee shops in broad daylight...very little you can do to stop them.

It sounds super fishy and definitely not worth your time.

This seems most likely. Dude gets an email from another buyer, and he figures it's worth a shot to make some extra dollars.

Agreed. The fact that he bought a watch to sell immediately on craigslist (to you) tells you all you need to know about what drives this guy.

Don't respond. He'll get the message and move on to his next money-making deal.

Nothing stopping this guy from snagging the watch and keeping your cash. If you call the police, he has the original receipt so not much can be done.
