I've gotten 11hrs+ out of my phone, Usage is Usage (and everyone uses their iDevices for different purposes). Thats why I always say that their are too many variables to determine a faulty battery or normal usage.

I don't believe it either.

I have an iPhone 4, not 4s, and my baattery is atrocious.

I unplugged it from my charger at 11:30 AM (phone was fully charged)

From 11:30 AM to now (3:30 PM) all I have done is:

Made 2 phone calls
Sent 1 text
Checked my stocks for 2 minutes
Played 1 word in WWF (1 minute of in-game time)
Sent a few emails and recieved a few back.

Bluetooth, GPS, 3g, ect are all turned off.
wifi is turned on.

Battery percentage is now at 77%.

Also look at this SS of my RAM

Is this...bad?

I don't believe it either.

I had about 8hrs of phone usage (games, calls, text, emails) and 3hrs (ish) of just listening to music from the Music.app and rdio (I commute 3 hrs daily and I dock my phone using an Aux cable to my car as my entertainment for music and podcasts).

I have an iPhone 4 as well.

That's incredible. What do you do in that amount of time? I get a maximum of 6 hours usage, the majority of that is texting, about an hour of phone calls, and maybe 20-30 minutes of web surfing. I watch a show on netflix occasionally, though I don't count that as standard use.

someone told me in another thread that a lot of you guys are "topping" your phones off [to the point the stats dont change], which is of course why people are getting screens that say "15" hours.

If you plug your phone in at, say, 55% and charge it to 75% your stats don't restart BUT it says under your useage something like "this phone has been plugged in since it was last at 100%"

There's no way to "top off" a charge without it saying this and therefore making the stats invalid. So if a screenshot doesn't have that kind of wording on it, there hasn't been any "cheating", it's legit.

I've said it 100 times. Useage is a very broad category for many many different things. If you use your phone to play music, you will get a LOT more useage out of it than if you're using it for Facetime.

Many people get about 5-6 hours of usage on a full charge. If you are playing music (not streaming) this number can go way up as it counts as "usage" but is very light compared to doing things with the screen on, browsing, sending/recieving data, etc.

Play lots of games or watch movies and the usage time will mean more battery drain. Be somewhere with poor signal and standby time will mean more battery drain. The battery shouldn't drop more than a couple percent overnight in an area with good coverage.

I now see the previous poster said something to this effect. sorry :/

This is my usage for today... not too bad. I've been playing "Where's My Water" and Netflix mostly along with texting.

I think that's caused by my mophie external battery case. It always says "its been plugged in since last charge" even after 1 minute

lol if you're using mophie it's not *really* reflecting usage of the battery in the phone... you can't compare to a non-mophie using phone.

Come on, is this fake? I only get 5 hours Usage out of my phone pretty much every time.. mostly texting and web, but occasionally some 2D games.

Maybe I need to exchange mine..

I am consistantly getting 5 hrs of usage and I don't do games and am on WIFI 90% of the time.
UNACCEPTABLE!

Like I said in the other post, there is something definately wrong with your setup. See my post in the other thread. You should be able to narrow down what is happening.

I experience similar things on my iPhone 4S. So, I am not sure if it is the phone or network, because I tried turning off 3g, it lasted a lot long. And with stand by, it's 2 days no problem.

With that said, I am suspecting it's the network draining lots of battery.

Either way, this is unacceptable!!

Have you tried to press the home button twice on your iphone? Then, hold on one of the icons. Kill the apps that you don't use.

I find this annoying to do, but it's supposed to help.

Dial *3001#123453* on your phone and press call, the farther away from -51 (scale from -51 to -121) your phone is the harder it has to work to maintain that connection, equalling battery drain.

I get -60 inside my house and similar where I work, so maybe thats I don't see battery drain issues like others might.

Thanks for the cool trick, I have no idea how you got that one. But definitely one of the best I've seen.

It's a trick that's been around for several years but got removed in iOS 4.0 (during antennagate), but got put back in iOS 4.1 or 4.2. beceause everyone was complaining of reception issues.
