saw my first set of beach balls
I was using Chrome & watching a youtube video, the video would hang up/freeze, did it a few times, this is a BRAND NEW (refurbished), just downloaded Chrome and I was testing it when it happened.
any ideas as to why? LOVING it so far.

Good job. congrats

I've never understood why people buy a Mac and then download Chrome anyway. Safari seems to work flawlessly for me.

Same. I used to use it on Windows because it seemed to work well...but compared to Safari on OS X, even with all its bugs, Chrome is just not good enough. It's buggy, glitchy, a resource hog, doesn't like multitouch gestures as much, and just isn't as seamless to me.

Migration Assistant will bring in whatever account(s) were on the old machine your migrated from if you check the box by that account name when you first run MA. So yes, if you made account Bob then ran MA with account Joe on the old machine, you will end up with the new account Bob plus the old account Joe (and all its data) on your new machine.

The best thing to do is run MA on the machine before you create any accounts, and just let MA bring in the old account and data. That way you won't have extra accounts.

So now you have two, separate accounts? If MA brought in your "real" account and data from the other machine, you can just login to that account and delete the new one your created.

I downloaded all the adobe suite under the new account, my music was the only thing I brought under the old account, can the music be transferred to the new account & the old account deleted?

I know that will sound like a dopey question but I'll ask it anyway - did you drag and drop the chrome application into the application directory? the reason why I ask is so many people I know who are first time Mac users run the application from the disk image rather than copying it to their computer? as for Chrome, it is a horrific resource hog - best to give Safari ago because so far I haven't had any problems with it.

Yep.... if that is all you need from that account... that will work just fine.

How do I go about it?

Login to the old account and drag to contents of the Music folder into the /Users/Shared folder. That folder can be accessed from any account.

Then login to the new account and drag the folders you copied from the old account out of Users/Shared and into the Music folder for the current account.

The first time your start iTunes hold the option key down as you click the iTunes icon and a window will popup asking you to select an iTunes library. Navigate to the Music/iTunes folder then select that as the iTunes library location. You should now see your music in iTunes.

Then if there is nothing else you want in the old account, you can just delete it.
