YUP!
That may be because many shops (ESPECIALLY Victoria's Secret) are notoriously HORRIBLE at sizing women. Perhaps this is because they don't make anything over a DD.(they are much more suited to making tiny boobs look bigger than supporting already big ones) Say a woman is a 32F, rather than size her as such they would probably say "oh, you're a 36D, here you go, try this [POS] on." and then the woman leaves in a crap fitting bra and thinks that's what her size is from here on out. It's actually quite a problem if you've got a decent size set and are walking around with a giant band size. The support comes from the cups and band, not the straps. A bad fitting bra is uncomfortable and lends to sagginess. You would think a store that specializes in bras would be better but they often aren't.
But you touched a pet peeve of mine.
So true, VS is dreadful. It also doesn't help that they'll try to measure you with your shirt and old bra still on, so you've got extra material in the way. Real scientific, those salespeople.
