I don't think it would make any difference.
Up to you. If you can get a subsidy, not lose your unlimited data and you're not planning on switching carriers then I'd do it.

I don't need another phone. I just purchased the plus at retail. Not going to return and wait in line for another one. I can purchase a phone and resell or just save the upgrade for later.

You can make about $300-400 by getting one and flipping it.
I will have an update next month available and thinking about doing that.
