Unfortunately, it reminds us when we are most busy at times and we can't always stop what we are doing. It is a useful tool though and if used properly, it works.
Isn't that the point?
Yeah I looked later and realized it was just set at 5 hours. Didn't realize it could be changed.Unfortunately, it reminds us when we are most busy at times and we can't always stop what we are doing. It is a useful tool though and if used properly, it works.

Exactly. And really, why do we need a standalone app when if we really wanted or needed this we could simply set a reminder for ourselves to breath and it would do the same thing?I have tried to start using it
However it reminds me at the most inconvenient times! Breathe during the middle of a multiplayer video game match, or breathe during a presentation!
And then I forget to use it whenever I finish those activities or have free time

The funniest times for me are when it reminds me to breathe in the middle of band practice after I've been playing tuba for two hours.IHowever it reminds me at the most inconvenient times! Breathe during the middle of a multiplayer video game match, or breathe during a presentation!
Well I do like the application part because it helps with the timesExactly. And really, why do we need a standalone app when if we really wanted or needed this we could simply set a reminder for ourselves to breath and it would do the same thing?
And the way it says it too is funnyThe funniest times for me are when it reminds me to breathe in the middle of band practice after I've been playing tuba for two hours.
No joke: after honking through a piece, I felt a tap from the watch; looked at it and it says, "Take some time to Breathe." I'm thinking, dude, I've been huffing and puffing all night...
You're probably referring to counting for a different reason --Well I do like the application part because it helps with the times
With combat breathing (which I assume this is it) it's 5 seconds on each move (inhale, hold, exhale) however you can't focus on your breath if you're counting
Right, was refering to combat breathing is to relieve stress in intense times, to calm you downYou're probably referring to counting for a different reason --
When we wind players practice breathing exercises, doing them by counts is common -- in for 8, our for 8, etc. Lots of variations, too (I've had my guys play a 15-count exercise, then breathe in for 1, then repeat the exercise on the next valve combination). The goal is to help learn how to exhale evenly for a more consistent sound, and inhale ("air is fuel!") without disrupting timing.
