For the charging issue, will they really ask for my receipt from when I purchased my IPhone over 8 months ago for the limited 1 year warranty???

Alright thanks and one last question my phone won't charge at all tried multiple chargers, usb etc... and nothing happens... I have a small crack towards the bottom right of the phone... With the limited 1 year warranty that they give you, what do you think Apple will do???

Cosmetic damage not covered, they will say "wear and tear". But the charging issue should be covered.

Yeah I don't care about the crack or anything I just really want my phone to start charging lol... Do you think with the crack though that they might say that the fall caused the charger port to not work or some bullcrap...

That's possible, but unlikely. It would have to hit REALLY HARD to hurt the dock connector. Think of how many people dock those without the proper adaptor tray, putting all the stress on that one part.

Oh I know thats what I was thinking, so do you think that they should be able to fix the problem tomorrow for free???

this isn't really a fixable problem. if it is handled at all, they will just switch out your phone.

What happened when I went in with bluetooth issues on my phone (still have them, dammit) is they plugged it into a mac, ran some special diagnostic tool, and when they found no problems, exchanged the phone anyways.

I can't say what they will do, but based on that experience, this should be resolved quickly.

Alright thanks, my phone is dead as a doorknob right now so we will see what happens...

No one knows.
You just gotta go in and try it and hope you get a nice rep.

Well just got back and it was a total waste, the technician said she tried everything she could, clean out the port, new battery etc... she said that it could be from the physical damage from when dropping it (the small crack on the bottom) which is total BS because that happen almost 8 months ago but I guess its a way for them to get money... Guess I go back this weekend and fork out 150 dollars UGHHHH!!!

The tech told me she even tried a new battery and it still wouldn't work...

Anyone know if they are replacing batteries now in store or even on the mail order?

I had never heard of this. I thought they always had to swap them out?

That would be good news for those of us loyal to original phones.

I swear she told me that she even tried a new battery, I don't know if that meant that if it was a battery that I would of had to get a new on myself but she did tell me she tried a new one...

Man, I feel like you are going to get your repaired here in the forum...:p
I think you should ask all these questions from the Apple store and see what they reply.
