Broadband significantly slower in OS X than in Windows??

I've gotta say, I just installed the 10.4.8 update, and my internet access is noticeably faster. Impressive.

Same here. At least three times the average speed using Azureus.

Thank you, Apple. I noticed slower internet speeds on my mac compared to my PC the moment I bought it. Let's just hope it wasn't some seeder with huge bandwith.

Yup, my problem has now disappeared with 10.4.8. Probably the quickest fix to a problem I've had in a software ever! I just did a speed test and got a speed of 8.7 MBps. Nice!!
