Here comes Apple connectivity chips in the works

Uh, Apple is already up to the W3 (for Watch, 2.4GHz 1x1 WiFi, BT) and H1 (BT only, Airpods)...

They're coming. Only question IMHO is whether they ship with the Apple cell modem, or a year earlier.

And you can bet that any doubt inside Apple as to whether they should pull the trigger on their plan to do their own 5G and WiFi chipsets has now disappeared. In 2022 we will have Apple Networking Silicon.

Unfair analysis. The article does not suggest that a Broadcom delay is CAUSING the iPhone delay, rather the causality is the other way -- iPhone delay is causing a delay in realizing Broadcom revenue.

An Apple WiFi6 chip will almost certainly appear in time, but this is not an Intel situation where Broadcom is constantly letting Apple down.

Not to mention Apple and Broadcom signed an agreeement earlier this year for the supply of wireless parts for the next 3.5 years.

Would love a 1TB iPhone!

Agree, but it won't happen. The only 1TB phone released was Samsung's S10 a few years ago. No one has a current one out now. No one to compete with. Plus, they won't put on out with the same storage as theor top of the line iPad.
