Congrats on breaking your record, but I don't know how proud I would be about that

A 23 year old Male texting like a teenage girl is kind of lame

congrats.............. you average 350 texts a day and about 14 texts an hour if you are up 24 hours.

so 28 texts an hour if you are up 12 hours a day. ha WOW

When did "texting" and "teenage girl" become synonymous?

"To some effect, stereotypes are rooted in truth."

A) women use text messaging more frequently than men

B) The 13-17 year old demograghic sends the most text messages

Sending 11K text messages in a month. The problem isn't that its' not social, the problem is that it could potentially be considered an addiction ( if it negatively affects his life)

When DSM-V comes out, we will probably start to see people being diagnosed with Internet/text messaging addiction disorders.

You got me there... but it is with the spreading of "stereotypes" that people begin to believe it as "truth." This, of course, can get very dangerous for many.

Either way, your simile of the OP and "teenage girl" was meant to be offensive and that isn't nice... not to mention "lame"

Lucky the only medical problem related to this social disease is broken fingers when your parents find the 200lb bill in the mail.

Guess it beats finding a 200lb naked man named Bill hiding in your room.

Wow, I'm not sure if I'm impressed or scared.

While I'm a 40+ male, I may bang out 40 text messages within a given month, generally a lot less.

I do attribute high texting to teenagers and 20 something girls and so its surprising to see a guy have this high usage.

Wow, that is amazing. And rofl even more at CNN "texting on steroids".

One thing though, they say that would be 7 texts a minute and 421 texts a hour. Last time I checked 7*60 = 420... someone at CNN cannot multiply, LOL

I think they just wanted to skip over the *magic* number.
