Broke my own text record

how many times a day do you charge your phone then? dont tell me it lasts on a single charge!!

if i'm lucky i might break the 100 barrier... but now with MMS enabled, each MMS is the equiv of 4 SMS messages, so I've been hitting the 200 mark over the past 2 months ... i only get 600 messages in my tariff and that's more than enough!

if i need to speak to someone, i'd rather call than spend 15 mins having a sms conversation :D
 
My wife and I text each other a lot during the day and I text some friends also. I really hate talking on the phone and I always have. If I need to talk to someone important; I'll call, but other than that people just text me.
 
I keep trying to beat the 1000 mark (since I upgraded to get data I get 1200/month) but I always end up at about 900. About 750 of those are to my boyfriend, poor sod.

My texting jumped right up when I got the iPhone though, given how I always type "properly" on it and not in text speech my text lengths have probably doubled :rolleyes: This time last year I rang everyone and only sent 100 texts/month so it's a big jump
 
Wow. I average about 4,000 a month, but I don't try to break my own records. I just text someone something and don't think "Hmmm. I wonder what number this is!" In my opinion, I think you're obsessed. :)

Hmm I LOVE typing on the iPhone. My text usage shot way up in the first few weeks I had it because I was looking for reasons to type on it :eek: I was always one of those people that SUCKED at typing on the normal mobile keyboards though. I was horribly bad with them no matter what type of phone, how long I kept the phone etc whereas I type REALLY fast on my iPhone. Friends used to laugh at how slow I texted, now they remark on how fast I am.

haha yea, they waste all that time tapping buttons now while we just glide across the screen
 
I cut down a lot on texting. I'm probably at 4,000 a month. When i got the first iPhone back in 2007, i had the 200 text plan. Tears :eek:
 
Haha. I'm impressed. If I had that much time in a day (i.e. the upcoming summer), I bet I could beat it though. Without texting during school hours, I average about 100-200 texts a day.
 
My cousin is currently going to for the world record for most texts SENT. He sent 4,000 yesterday. I'm on his list so I get a text every couple of minutes from him. Hah.

No offense to you but I'm not the least bit surprised by this.

I chuckle when I imagine you and him getting together for Christmas...

I don't think that's really a record to be proud of. IMO when someone says they text that much a day, they need a life. If anyone I knew did that to me, I would find a way to block them.

I chose to be on his text list for this record. Also, he's sending out mass text messages to 50 people at a time. He checked and it DOES count as individual text messages.

I'm sure the people on his text list have unlimited text...? It wouldn't be a pretty outcome if they weren't lol

For teenagers, when you're in a relationship with someone you don't often see (if they don't go to your same school), texting becomes the primary form of communication... When I was with my past S.O.'s I'd hit 5-6k per month...

I'm married and my wife and I text each other all day long. It makes the day go by and we have a lot of fun.

id be lucky to use more than 2000 a month, out of my 12,000 a month :$ its just the only other options i have are 300/500 a month and i use atleast 1,500 a month.
