BTO iMac preparing for shipment!

My BTO was just a simple one. The base model with upgraded RAM to 16 gig. They switched my shipping to overnight so the FEDEX sight shows that they will pick it up on December 3rd and I will receive it on December 4th by 3PM.

Has anyone ordered a high end 21.5" BTO in the UK that is being prepared for shipment? Ordered mine at 8.40AM on Friday.
 
my BTO has already shipped!!! it says it'll get here tomorrow.

I have the same exact machine and configuration coming too. Mine switched to Preparing for Shipment late last night EST.

Hoping it ships out soon and I get it this week that would be amazing.
 
Just an update.

The status on my BTO iMac is still saying "Preparing for shipment" but when I go to the UPS site and track by reference number (using my phone number and zip code), it shows the iMac is in transit coming from China.

So, if your status hasn't changed on the Apple store site, check UPS. You might find the status there.

Apple website status for my BTO 21.5" iMac: "Preparing for shipment", Delivers 12/18 - 12/21.

UPS site (using my phone #) says package shipped 12/4 from Shanghai with delivery date 12/10.

Darn, think OP's needs to change title to 21.5 inch BTO imac preparing for shipment. I thought it was the 27 inch BTO imac.

Not surprise for 21.5 inch iMac to ship now.

at school now, going to pick it up from FedEx as soon as I'm done. :)

That's not too far from some of the estimates for 27-inchers. That would be nice.
 
Do you get an e-mail when it goes to "Preparing for Shipment"? I assume mine will do that tomorrow... not sure if I'll be notified or just stumble upon it when checking the status.

No email for me but I've got a tracking number. I was checking the order status 5 times a day anyway! Should be here on the 12th now (originally told 17th) for my BTO 21". Looks like I'll have a busy weekend!
