I agree b2 is stable, I'm running it. But I don't want to run the beta "forever" just to have a jailbreak

Yep. and a primary reason why this jailbreak will never touch my 4S. I'd rather update it to 7.x and jailbreak when Mobile Substrate is updated...

Or may pass it all up until the next iPhone, as my 4S is happily jailbroken on 6.1.2.
