I was looking at their wallets too. Curious, what do you use now?
I have a bellroy zip wallet that I’ve used for the last 2 years and then I moved over to only using the apple sleeve on my 12. Now that I have the mini I’ll be using my bellroy again.

Ha, I’m actually looking at the bellroy card sleeve. I’ve had some ralph lauren card case for the last ~10 years and it’s...showing its age 😆

Jeezz the packaging is a bit much for a case. Hope it gets recycled lol the iPhone isn’t even that nice.
Anyway how thick is the case. I bought and returned my Apple leather case, I found it too thick.

How you liking it v the 12?
It’s different for sure. It almost feels like a toy with it being so lite and small. I’ve only had it for a few hours, but so far it’s a keeper. Much easier to maneuver and doesn’t take as much effort to support it on the pinky shelf. Even having a case on it still feels toy-ish.

Just opened my bullstrap black edition. I’m surprised to say it isn’t as impressive as I’d hoped. I posted some pics and noted some issues over in the “which case did you get” thread. Too bad, I’ll see how I feel about keeping or returning it tomorrow. Did anybody have the mark, shown in the picture, on their case from the packaging strap? If so, does it go away? Also how secure are the corners? Mine seems prone to popping out without much force.

Can you post more pictures? I just received my Sienna case. Wondering if I should exchange for the classic black. I have a black iPhone 12. I do like the fact the sienna case buttons are black so it matched my phone really well. Something about all black on black.

The sienna looks very nice from what I’ve seen. Sure, I’ll post some tomorrow. The pics I have are over exposed to show the mark, so the case looks silver or gray. For sure, the black edition bullstrap on a black iP12 would look very sharp and sleek.

I didn't have any sort of marks or indentations on my case but if you check my OP the shot showing the case in the box is actually how it came (under the top strap but above the lower one). Sucks to hear about the hardware store paint-section smell on yours; mine smells like straight leather.

I ordered the Sienna for my 12 Pro and it came without any marks or issues from the packaging.

What a great thread. I’ve been waiting on the bourbon case but after seeing this I may be rethinking and sending back for ocean blue instead. It looks much closer to the medium gray I was hoping for from Apple before the leather colors were announced.

I have both the Sienna and Ocean leather cases for my 12 Pro from Bullstrap now (just received the Ocean one yesterday). Both of them do not have any marks or issues like @shr631 mentioned. I would definitely contact Bullstrap. From what I have read they are very responsive and supportive on exchanges for issues, etc.

I am a big new fan of this company. Also received an Ocean leather strap for my watch yesterday. Fantastic quality.

Same same. First thing I did after writing up this review was go back to their website and see what else I could get. That brushed metal strap looks fiiiiiine but I ended up purchasing one of their wallets, for which I've yet to receive a tracking number.

I just sent them an email, so let’s see what happens. Which color do you like best so far?

Yeah I ended up buying one of their bi-fold Terra wallets before it went out of stock over Christmas but it hasn't shipped yet.

I think initially the Ocean color looks best, but I'm thinking the Sienna will look better in time. The Ocean one is a little bit darker IRL then I thought it would be, but still a great looking case.

Well, I can’t say I’m at all impressed with their customer service unfortunately. Here’s the response I got:

She points out that leather is prone to scratches, dents and the like, and then interestingly suggests leather might not be for me. Lol. I worked in customer service a bunch including managing service teams. This is a poor response and shows the company is more interested in saving in shipping expense that pleasing the customer. The funny thing is I was going to hold on for a few days to see if I like it. But this has turned me off and I’ll likely be sending it back. At least she threw in a bunch of exclamation pints to keep the mood light, while providing no resolution and implicitly suggesting I’m some sort of fool 🤣😂

(edit- removed rep’s name, smaller pic)

I'd be ok with the case in your picture. Leather takes on a life of its own, especially if you scratch it with a fingernail, drop it, etc. It's going to have shades of aging different in some parts vs others. Also areas that you hold a lot will smooth out more than others. I do think that line will disappear with age - so I'd keep it. But that's me.

Did you explicitly ask for a replacement? I bet they'd honor it if you did. (An assumption on my part - and you know what they say about assuming, lol).

I was on the fence about keeping it, but honestly the customer service response struck me as condescending. I’m pretty well aware of how leather ages and have a friend who’s worked with leather for a number of years. I’m not looking for a perfect case after some usage, but I am looking for it to be perfect out of the box. Especially at that price. Great customer service is apologizing for a compromised experience and then taking the initiative to make it right. Middling customer service is neutrally accepting a replacement request. Poor customer service is patronizing the customer and suggesting the product might not be for them.

The case isn't cheap, agreed. I won't lie, that line would have bugged me especially for that price point.
