I just reviewed the K11 for iPhone 7 Plus in black and I'm impressed. It is definitely less slippery than the previous version for the iPhone 6s Plus and it looks quite fantastic on my matte black phone. It also works really well with ThanoTech's E2E Glass edge to edge screen protector.

And the E2E Glass:

I'm really liking the simplicity of the bumper. Is that aluminium or tpu?
It is TPU with metal buttons. Website I got it on was rakuten.co.jp

Don't have the email handy but I'll see if I could track down the paper invoice

Interesting comparisons. Thanks for the comprehensive write up.

You thought the CrashGuard was too bulky? So your priorities are aesthetics over protection then?

I also have the K11. Is yours version 2 or the original? I know older versions had issues, but I haven't seen any of those issues you mentioned in v2. TBH, it sounds like you are just rehashing old arguments from those who didn't like the first iteration. If you actually do have the v2, have you contacted ThanoTech about your issues?

The bumper above does look quite nice, but it appears to offer 0 protection. Do they have any drop videos or make any rated protection claims?

Hi there, the crash guard is a great bumper and works as advertised, it's a freaking tank lol, but trying to use the 7 Plus one handed was difficult for me. It makes a phone that is already wide, that much more.
So to answer your question I prefer the aesthetics over the excellent protection of the crash guard which was the v2 of the product that I owned.

Oh don't get me wrong I love ThanoTech, my Rose Gold/Black TPU which I had on my 6S Plus last year was flawless, but for some reason this year the quality control seems to not be up to par... who knows maybe it's just the black powder coating. Here is a some pics of my replacement k11 right out of the box

I'll take my chances with this Totu bumper and try not tot be too clumsy or reckless haha & I'll see if I could track down some drop vids for ya

Good thoughts. Competition and choices are good for us as the consumer.

I don't have a Plus, but I could see how a RhinoShield would make an already large phone even larger.

I'd still contact ThanoTech about your damaged K11. I bet they'll take care of it.

What about those bumps on the corners, do they offer clearance between camera and a flat surface? Reason I ask is because I had this issue with the Doriax bumper case. It had a lip around the camera corner which didn't help.
