Bumper + Holster

With the bumper? Probably one of the better horizontal leather cases with magnetic closure out there, but too bulky in my opinion. I really like the slickness and form factor of the HipCase, but can't stand the velcro enclosure.
Has anyone found any new options for a holster that works with the bumper? The Nutshell case looks nice but it's kind of expensive particularly when you include add-on options.
I have an inexpensive "universal smart phone holster" from Case Logic that I got at Wal-Mart. < $20, and my iPhone 4 fits in it either with a bumper or with a Belkin Grip Vue. It's snug, but it works.
With the help of FieldingMellish I ordered this holster from Maxpedition Hard-Use Gear. It just arrived this morning and I felt compelled to show all the results. This is the holster for my iPhone 4, it couldn't be better. To my surprise its lined in its interior, the fit could NOT me better. May not fit it the boardroom, but I'm not big on them anyway

Marware CEO Sleeve for 3GS with iPhone 4 + bumper
I added a KRUSELL MULTIDAPT RATCHET SWIVELKIT 360° ROTATABLE CLIP and can use the CEO Sleeve horizontally, at an angle or vertical.
FWIW, I purchased a Marware CEO Sleeve for 3GS from ebay (very cheap) and it fits very well with iPhone 4 + bumper. It's not too tight and not much effort to pull it out. If you shake it while it is upside down it will not drop out.
Without the bumper, the case is a bit loose and if you tip it upside down the phone can slide out.
The Rotatable clip adds a bit of a gap between your belt and the case but it's not too bad especially if you are like me with a bit of a belly hanging over the belt
I added some pictures to show how it fits with and without the bumper. Yes I know orange bumper may not be everyone's taste but that's the only one i've got at the moment.

Zornet, how's the clip on that puppy? Is it as grabby and hard to fall off by itself, no matter what reasonably heavy activity anyone might do? Do you think a bumper could fit in there? What size did you get?
The only way this metel clip could fail is as if your belt would break. I'll be comfortable in any physical activity with complete confidants that my iPhone will-be there when needed. I always add a tie-wrap around the base of any holster clip making it necessary to thread the belt through the clip. This clip can also accommodate this as well, but not necessary

Good to know the phone stays were ye leave it.
After I posted, I couldn't wait and bought both the 4.5 and 5 inch sizes, just to test both of them out. One of the cases will be going back. I figure the return shipping is the extra price I pay to try them out like in a store. Someone posted on Maxpedition's site that they put their Otterbox Defender into the 5 inch one. Bumper will definitely fit.
You say that the inside of the pouch is smoothly done? Nice.
The 5" is the size to get, save the return hassle. Give them a call. The picture I posted was with a bumper (Scosche).

A holster?!? Seriously? They should only offer holsters in rainbow if you get my drift as those are who they were intended for. Maybe you can clip your holster on your murse also.
You'll need to reply to horre. I don't believe this holster accommodates the Krussell clip. The clip on the Maxpedition is of serious metal, as pictured.

Hi, Pretty sturdy. Much tougher then the clip that came with the CEO sleeve. The SWIVELKIT comes in 2 parts, the swivel buckle that locks into the CEO Sleeve bracket is well fitted and sturdy against the case. The other part (the belt clip) has a good grip around the belt. The bottom part of the clip hooks back and catches the belt so you can't just pull it off. You need to squeeze the top of the clip to release the catch in order to take it off the belt. The clip and swivel buckle clicks together and there is a button on top of the clip to disengage the clip from the swivel buckle for quick release. All in all it seems ok but I FEEL it is breakable if its yanked away against the joint with great force.
Just received my Maxpedition holster case in the mail today. Thanks to zornet for posting a link and pics to the Maxpedition Hard-Use Gear site. The case is exactly as descibed in your reveiw and fits my style and needs perfectly. Fits with the Apple Bumper nice and snug. Love the fact that the inside is padded as well

I used one just like this for my bold 9700 and otterbox commuter and it fit like a glove. Best buy sells Seidio under another brand. That is where I picked it up at. Only time will tell!

It's marketed for the HTC Incredible; sold through Best Buy (or so I've read), Verizon stores, and of course, on eBay for less than half the price of the other two. I have one on the way after seeing it a few times here on the boards.
Unlike the leather or leather/canvas options, it's not going to offer additional protection, but it's perfect for someone like me who needs the thing attached at the hip all day long or you'll lose it.

Thanks IV but I have seen that one already and it looks pretty sick but doesn't have a clip at the top (like the one I posted) to hold the phone in. I could be wrong but I think the HTC one holds by friction and knowing my clumsy a$$ it will fall out. I still might give it a shot though.
I'm a total klutz, so I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure you're right about it being friction based. From what others have said, it's a pretty snug fit though, so I'm not worried about it yet. Mine should be here tomorrow or Friday--I'll post my impressions and probably some pics to that thread when it gets here.
