Bumper iPhone 5?

I really hope they come out with bumpers for iP5 because its the only case I use (if I even have a case on) with my 4S.
Do you know WHY they had bumpers in the past?

I hope they come out with an iPhone 5 bumper, as it's a great compromise to make my phone look different without the full case.
If I recall correctly, the bumper was shown by Apple before the antenna thing ever happened, so I really don't think the lack of an antenna issue will affect how Apple handles iPhone 5 accessories.

People still buy them who have no idea about antennagate... It's become pretty popular as a form of minimal protection. They would make some pretty good money if they made them again...
While not an official Apple bumper, this is a least a fix for now:

Just ordered this...I'd love an Incipio Feather but I'm not willing to wait a couple days for it to get scratched up. Will do for the first couple weeks.

Screw it its only 10 bucks ! just ordered one too lol. I hope it actually fits. I'll be upset if it doesn't .

Today I received the bumper I had posted about earlier. The quality actually seems great I was pleasantly surprised. To me it looks the same as an Apple bumper, the only difference being the volume and power buttons are rubber versus the metal/plastic ones on the Apple bumper
Received this one yesterday. I am very pleased for the price I paid (It was $4.95 when I ordered).

They had bumpers in the past because it was an alternative to a case that gave some protection AND still showed off the 4/4s's awesome look. The antenna gate issue had nothing to do with the bumpers. Nice try though.
