I just ordered a RhinoShield Mod NX. I've never used one before but I'm looking forward to it. They are available for pre-order and shipping end of October. No exact date.

After seeing how kind of meh the magnet seems when there's a case on the new 12's, (like the Magsafe wallet falling off when going into a back pocket), I really want to go back to the old school iPhone 4 bumper case style. Looks like RhinoShield's the only option around right now -- googling "bumper case" just comes up with regular generic cases with backs.

I pulled the trigger on this one as its available for the series of 12 phones and in different colours. Cheap and cheerful from China

That looks great! Thanks for the info, I found one on US ebay and added it to my watchlist. Let us know how it works for you when you get it from the slow boat from China! :)

Here are some metal bumper cases that are available for the iPhone 12.

Not looking good for a ThanoTech version. Got an email response that said, “I myself do not have any information, though the last I heard we were planning on making them.” Really, their customer service doesn’t even know? 😛

I think that most of the bumper frames have rubber inserts to stop scratches. I had one when I had a XS max and it had a rubber frane inside the metal frame so there were no scratches

Looking forward to your thoughts, @Bazooka-joe. Subscribing to this thread as I am also interested in a bumper-style case.

I like the looks of this one on eBay, and the fact that it can be used with or without the plastic back cover.

I am thinking of using a metal bumper and tempered glass on the front and back. I am going with the Pacific blue color so the blue metal bumper would be a good match.

Looks good and in the photo you will see that it has a rubber insert that protects the sides of the phone so no metal on metal
