Very unfortunate not many people agree with me. But if all you guys want is last year's phone with a few incremental updates, go ahead and take it. Hopefully once the 5S gets released more people will jump ship.

I personally would like an iPhone with a bigger screen, first because my eyes are getting older and second because more information can be displayed. I rarely use my iPhone as a phone any more. It's a pocket-able information device in which telephony plays a minor role.

Honestly my second most desirable update is not some fancy gizmo but full capability for Siri in the UK as well as cleaning up the UK iOS maps. In this regard Apple need to stop treating non-US customers as second-class consumers.

In any case, I hardly think Apple is doomed. As I have noted in another thread, Samsung's rumored eye tracking technology sounds interesting but there are so many potential technical issues it could backfire badly. We might find that the eye tracking is like Siri when it came out - a beta that many people turn off. Also, who cares about 440 ppi? Certainly not my old eyes and their diminishing acuity.

UGH stop telling us to move onto a different phone. Not always an option!!! So just because the phone sucks we're just suppose to give up years invested into iOS?

Wait..."give up years invested invested into iOS?"

You consider the operating system on a phone something into which you have invested years of your life!!??

That is incredibly scary. The operating system of a piece of electronics is that important in your life!?

Please...a little perspective here...it's just a phone!!

Iunno if you have sausage fingers or stubs, but the 4" screen is the most perfect size phone I've ever used. Now the Samsung Galaxy SIII is TOO big. It is a 2 handed phone.

The basic test for me is if I can hold it in my hand securely (heel of thumb/hand and 4 fingers on the side) and with my thumb still be able to stretch and touch the opposite corner then it's good. The iPhone 5 just barely passes this test for me, the S3 is off by about a full 1cm.

It's just the way Apple runs, they will in all likelihood release an iPhone 5S and the upgrades will probably suck. But think about it this way, if they redesigned the iPhone every time then it would be very hard for case makers to keep up. And isn't it nice to get that brand new phone and be able to slip it into your nice secure Otterbox without having to go out and spend another 50$ on another one. Obviously a lot of people make a lot more money than I do and if that is your thing that by all means, do what you will. But from my stand point I'm happy with how Apple runs (kind of).

And yet earlier you were speaking for the majority. You've got some schizophrenia my friend.

I understand the desire to get what you want from your phone; if you really think you'd be better served by an Android phablet then give it a shot. It's not as hard as you might think switching to the new ecosystem; I went Android and back again and it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be.

iPhone 5 is still the best selling smartphone on the market. Looks like the masses do not share your opinion and the masses is what matters to Apple.

I think people are upset that Apple is falling behind. The iPhone 5 is a great performing phone but I don't think it's size is a clear winner. I personally prefer the size of the 4 but would welcome a new design. Coupled that iOS is looking more and more dated, more people will make the switch. I use androids regularly but still keep the 4s as my day to day phone. If the 5s is the same as the 5 I will probably move over to android for my daily phone until the 6 comes out. I pray that osx doesn't fall victim to iOS. I would hate to go back to windows.

I think they are too caught up in release cycles instead of releasing outstanding revolutionary products. The cat keeps getting fatter but for how long?

Wow I'm shocked!!! Someone with a brain on this forum!!! Glad you see it my way.

So, anyone who disagrees with you is an iCrybaby and anyone who agrees with you has a brain?!

WOW! The arrogance is disgusting! Let me guess, you sell used cars for a living!

You will get an iPhone 5S :D.
But there will be an iPhone 6 in 2014, and guess what, it will be nearly the same as the 5s.
Half a year before the release the hopes and expectations will be high for some change, like every year, but you will be dissapointed again, but will buy it.

dont listen the the OP apple , please i want a new phone every month if it was possible, plese let it be june, new iphone 5s, new iphone+, new ipad5, new mini ipad, pleaseeeeeeeeeeee aapppleeee new products!!!!

.

Lol....if Apple will release an iPhone with a 4.7" display, you will tell the world the same brainwashed sh... about the 4.7" display.

No I completely agree with that. I'll be getting the 5S when it comes out and I'll be happy with my upgrade. I'm looking forward to the bigger screen. But it doesn't mean that my 4S is any worse than it was when it first came out. It works just fine for me.

i miss my iphone 5. i like the design, the speed, weight and size.
