So both my apple and att orders are preparing for shipment. I was charged for both as well.

As for tracking the apple order just showed up on ups but I'm not sure how to check on the att one.

Mine was just cancelled. It was my husband’s account info and phone number. Fortunately they left the original intact and that’s the one with the good shipping date for Friday! 🙂

Mine was just an extra order in case something went wrong with the first order. We were going to cancel it once the first order was definitely getting processed.

So TL/DR: no you can’t have two orders for the same phone number on an AT&T order.

Anyone else get this email from Apple? One has shipped already, so they can’t cancel that one - right?

“Our records show that you have multiple orders in place for your new iPhone X. In order to select the correct order you wish to process, please visit Online Order Status and cancel the orders you do not wish to keep within the next 48 hours.

If you have any questions, please contact us at 1-800-MY-APPLE.”

For the people having problems did you order twice from the same source or from two different places?

I ordered one from Apple.com and one from App Store app within minutes of each other. One I upgraded my phone, and the other I selected add a line.

That's weird. I wouldn't expect them to cancel something like that.

It's good. Prevents more scalping from occurring.
Except it’s not the case at least on Verizon. Confirmed today with a third sales rep that all 3 of my paid in full phones are good to go. She said you can have 100 phones ordered under the same number when buying outright.

Verizon phones are fully unlocked too

Did you're other orders change from pending? No movement here

Interesting thread. My shipping date on att (paid in full) stilll shows nov 17 to 24. My plan is to add a new line to my account ($15 per month) and attempt to purchase IPX in a store this weekend under the new line. If successful, the new line will be cancelled and request ATT to switch the IPX over to me existing line. Thought about purchasing on my existing line but this thread confirmed that will probably not work out.

Needless to say, the original order needs to be cancelled which I believe is possible up to the time it ships.

I'm also on Verizon and can only order 1 phone for my main line. I paid in full on the Apple Store app for in store pick up 11/3. When I tried to order another one (different storage capacity) it said I already had an order on my line and it wouldn't proceed. Same thing when I tried the Verizon app. I had been on the fence about 64gb vs 256, that's how I stumbled into this.
