Doesn't matter if you don't have the latest - if the next refresh looks cosmetically identical (and most likely, it will be) you have nothing to worry about. You may not be on the cutting edge of technology - but THEY don't have to know that 😉
Seriously though, I think you need to reconsider your priorities. Going out of your way (spending thousands of dollars) with the hope of impressing some girls is kind of extreme. But if you have disposable cash lying around, by all means, go for it. It's your money - or your parents'; whatever.

personally I think it will lose those ugly vents at the bottom, and maybe have the same thinness of the 15" model

OMG this is so much fun, haven't had such a laugh i the last hour or so.
No one can see what year a mac i from on the body alone, need serial.
Ofc you can see what type it is air, pro rpro and so on...
Tell us why you need a mac (don't say it will make it easier for you to get girls, thats not a reason to need a mac. go get the new chrome book then)
you should not care about a mac for a status symbol...
ohh and just because a rumour was valid 2 years ago do not mean that it still is...
think of all the crap and mishaps we could end up with if every rumour would be true down the line...
The best advice to you for getting girls is to spend the money on a gym membership (and use it) and start a good hygiene routine

New tech won't make up for lack of game, at least when it comes to any woman worth the time. Anyway, I agree w/ what most have said: if you need it now, get it now. Otherwise, wait. Pretty darn simple.
