********** UPDATE! **********

A friend of mine is willing to let me borrow his old laptop. This means, that I can use it at the university the next couple of months, and I will therefore wait buying. If the MBP 13" at that moment are too expensive or doesn't meet my wishes, I can always by one of the "old" ones.
What do you think? :)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-gb) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

I doubt that apple will make it more expensive. In the unlikely event that they do it will +$200 max.

I agree that more than likely it won't be a major price hike (or at least the standard configuration). Still, C2D or iX or whatever, they are all capable and will serve well.

Should I buy now or should I wait?! :rolleyes:

Wait for sure. I am waiting for the new generation myself, and sticking around with an iPad for now. Works fine for me until they release their MBP series, then I will be the first one to order the 15" model :)

Maybe I should go ask a friend of mine if he had a laptop he could spare me for some weeks... it is after all a bit better than an iPad tbh.

If you really want Blu Ray, HDMI or USB3, then wait as the current has none of them. If you don't care about any of them and aren't concerned with having a slightly slower CPU (which I'm not given the work I do), buy now.

It is unlikely that Blu-Ray will ever come to the Macbook 13".

One thing that possibly is worth the wait, aside from a faster processor: the recent Macbook Air refresh finally gave the 13" machine a 1440 x 900 resolution. There's a good possibility that this option will come to the Macbook Pro 13" as well.

I'm planning to buy one too, think I'll wait for the update. have a EEEPC at the moment, which will do while I wait.

Patience is the golden rule with apple. Remember it's a €1300,00 (more or less, depending on model) machine you're buying, if it updates two days later, will you not care?

I compared the Air and Pro, both the 13', both with 128Gb SSD, both with 4Gb ram, only the air had a 1,8 GHz processor and the pro a 2,4.
pricing: Air -> €1305,something
Pro -> 1376,something
(with the student discount that is)

I'd wait for the update and see what the Pro does.
