That's not a boat.

This is a boat. I'm in the plaid shirt by the way. My father's the one holding the model. We're boat builders. :D

not a big fan of the yacht on the website, but do like the very clean lines of the sailboat that's featured... very futuristic looking for a sailboat :D

I'm a big fan of the clean lines on this boat, while I like the freedom from fuel that sailboats have they've just got too many ropes and rigging etc. for me.

Got me thinking about a boat I saw years ago. It was a large either two or three hull design and instead of fabric sails or propellers it had, what I can only describe as, vertical planes like aircraft wings.

They were as high as traditional sailboat masts and were controlled from the helm so you turn them at the base to direct the wind over them and power the boat forward.

Can anyone else remember seeing a boat like this? Do they still make them?

I think I've seen pictures of it. Only works on larger boats I think, and probably with somewhat elevated wind speeds.

I like the Tiketitan and the Kraus III. Combine the two, and I'll live on it for the rest of my life!
