I would laugh when those early adopters start to swear about problems they encounter on beta1 product release.

I always pull the trigger after I finish the AnandTech reviews.

I don't think they've ever said anything bad about Macs.

Is Apple going to introduce a new revolutionary product called the laptop computer?

What beta product release…

Looks like the majority are buying as soon as possible. Good points about having the peace of mind with Apple - even on a new release. I can't wait to see what our options are!

Waiting until August. Not for a spec bump, but just because I don't really need one until I start my new course in September.

my broken macbook pro is already on ebay for parts. Will be purchasing the minute that the site goes live again. assuming i've made up my mind about which one to purchase.

For those of you that are planning to buy a "redesigned" MBP (if the rumor comes true), are you going to buy as soon as it is available or wait to see if there are any issues like heat?

I would wait a couple of weeks to rule out any reports from users regarding defects-- i.e. yellow displays, flaky WiFi, the usual stuff.

Who am I to give advice though, I bought my 2006 Macbook on release day, my first Mac Mini on release day, and my iPad/iPad2/iPad3 all on release day and they've been fine. :)

I'll be pulling the trigger on as many new products today as Apple announce. But that new maxed out 16 GB RAM, 768 GB SSD MacBook Pro is going to be the most incredible Mac yet.
I can upgrade to 16GB RAM and the SSD anyway if I wanted to. I'm not sure if that works out more expensive or not though.
