The first few months of the launch of the latest iPhone is literally the best time to upgrade, and the faster you run out and do it the cheaper it will be to upgrade next time if your trying to do it on contract...otherwise do NeXT or EDGE or whatever your carrier calls it. I went from a 4 to a 5c (only for 5 months) and now a 6...I love my 6 to death!

Honestly, there are two thing holding me back. First is the "bend gate" I know this is not a common issue and that it shouldn't hold me back but still I believe Apple will likely address it in the next iPhone (or I am wrong). Second, is the size of the device. I'va had a Lumia 920 and found it bulky. From what I've seen the iPhone 6 is about 4mm narrower but I wonder if it's still comfortable to use with one hand?

Also I plan on keeping my next phone for about 3-4 years. I live and Canada and there is no plan to change phone every year yet.

Telus has T-Up! Which I believe is similar to AT&T next.

However if I were you (and I'm in a similar situation and thinking of doing this) I would just get a used 5s. I see you can get one with a year of warranty left and good condition for around 400$. Personally the 6 just doesn't excite me enough to warrant the extra 300$. Especially for us in Canada, with apple pay not coming till at least the 6s comes out.

I'm thinking of getting a 5s and using it until 7 comes out. My only worry is the battery.

Telus as T-Up indeed, but I plan on keeping my phone for at least 3 years. Anyway, I will probably order one today as the price difference with a 2 years contract isn't enough to get a 5s instead of a 6 (about 150$ with a corporate offer). Only thing I must settle now is the storage. I have 230go of Onedrive storage until November 2016, so I really wonder if it is worth it to pay the 100$ more to get the 64go model instead of the 16go. I use streaming service for music and video and I don't game that much on my phone (just time wasting game like clash of clans and angry birds). The only things that makes me hesitate is I take some pictures and video (which will auto upload to onedrive) and I always had at least a 32go phone model on hand (iPhone 4 and Lumia 920). I fear of not getting enough space with a 16go, but wih the cloud options this shouldn't be an issue, but my heart says to get a 64go... Just don't want to pay for more storage than I need.. Arrrggg

We'll then, gonna contradict myself here as I will order a 5s tomorrow morning. Went to a cellular store, hold a 6 in my hand and it just didn't felt right... I love much more the design of the 5s and specs aren't that much better in the 6. It will still be a major improvement from my old iPhone 4!

Thanks for all the advices everybody!
