I guess when you run the site and need to "advertise"!
Since when does 3% = significant?
So does the 241.91 include the 72.90 or is that 72.90 get added on? If my math is correct for the 2.53 15" MBP, there should be a $314.81 discount on that one. But what I don't get is macmall.com does not reflect that. I must be wrong but who knows. Can some one double check me? I would move on this deal if there is a $314.00 off the $2499 MBP.
The right-most column is the TOTAL discount ($241.91), including the $72.90 MacRumors discount. There are really three components to the discount on the MBPs: 1) MacMall's regular price is slightly under the Apple retail price; 2) MacMall offers rebates on top of their discounted prices, although they are after-the-fact mail-in rebates; 3) The additional discount for MacRumors readers that is not applied until the item is added to the cart.
"Significant" refers to the total discount being offered. As in "The most significant combined discount..." which opens the second paragraph of the article. And yes, I think $100 - $250 off a Mac is a significant discount to most people.
I see no rebate link for anything but printers on the MBP page
? am I missing something here?
Click the "View 9 more promotions" link at the bottom of the list of printer rebates and it'll expand to show the Mac rebate.
While the deal is indeed a good one...
...this is front page news?![]()
Every bit of discounting counts. Thank you MacMall.
MacRumors is a great site.
