I don't recall seeing any sort of tab or such a thing when I opened mine. They mention what I'm talking about here: http://appleinsider.com/articles/16...one-7-iphone-7-plus-with-lightning-headphones

Mine had tabs also. Maybe ones bought though a carrier cone shrink wrapped.Weird. Mine definitely had tabs.
FWIW, I'm not disputing what you saw, just stating what I perceived. I'll look and see if I've emptied that trash can yet when I get home. Now you have me curious. I always just cut the plastic around the box bottom seam so it's possible I completely missed it.Weird. Mine definitely had tabs.
Not sure anyone would go through all the trouble to make $50, specially dealing with CL idiots so i'm betting its a scam. My advice, which i know you didn't ask for, WAIT, the damn phone will be available soon.
Get something you could return if needed. Making a $1k mistake could really make a man go nuts.
There is always risk as already mentioned. The phone could be reported stolen after you buy and other things.I agree but if I can put the sim in from att in there - and I have a recipet- no risk right?
If he never registers the phone how is that possible? If I've got it activated on att he can't report it stolen right? There is always risk as already mentioned. The phone could be reported stolen after you buy and other things.
it's your money. Buy the phone and stop talking it already. Your mind is made up.If he never registers the phone how is that possible? If I've got it activated on att he can't report it stolen right?

Only scenario I can see where the seller makes money is if they used an upgrade, paid the 2yr price (~$400), and is now selling for a profit. It's craigs list and the guy is within his 14 day return period so if he's not making money why is HE going through the hassles and risk of getting robbed instead of returning it?

Verizon does 2 year contract at least in Apple Store. They don't do the installment plans at the Apple Store for Verizon, only AT&T.Yeah, that worked in the past but I believe there are no longer any 2 year subsidized discounts on Verizon and this guy supposedly paid full price.
Best Buy also will do 2 year contracts.Verizon does 2 year contract at least in Apple Store. They don't do the installment plans at the Apple Store for Verizon, only AT&T.
The plastic film surrounding the box on my iphone7 ordered from AT&T and delivered to my door sure looked and felt and acted like shrinkwrap. Fairly substantial, but shrinkwrap. Not at all what you described.
Again, just noting what I saw. Maybe I completely missed the tab. From all the unboxing videos I have seen the shrink wrap is different now. It pulls off with a tab
