Save up your money and buy it with cash. I saved for two months and today I received my 15" uMBP!!!! Knowing I own it free and clear of any credit payments is a much more satisfying feeling. Its like paying cash for a vehicle, you appreciate just a tiny bit more.

Get it on credit, put the money away. Pay off the card, get credit. Sounds dumb till you want to buy a house and all the loan companies tell you to go F ur self.

if you 0 credit there is no chance of getting a best buy card. I have almost perfect credit but i only have 1 card with a small limit and i still can't get a best buy card(because apparently i don't enough credit). so you will have to go through one of the major companies. you should get accepted no problem since your a student. and if you know you can pay it off then that is a great way to build a credit rating.

With 0 credit, you likely have 0% chance of getting approved. Who knows though, maybe best buy isn't in a credit crunch like the rest of the world.

I'm more than willing to save up, I've already started. I just heard that purchasing a laptop is a really great way to build up your credit
LOL! Who told you that?

I'm going to use this one on my wife for my new bass boat we can't afford. :D

Don't buy on credit what you don't have.
While having and building credit is hard as a student
it's even worse if you rack up bills you can't pay

try getting a student credit card. You won't get more then 500$ max but save the rest. Trust me. Waiting 2 months and working and saving is way better then bein swallowed in a huge credit bill

I personally was extremely lucky (when loans were doing great right before the economy died) and got a car loan, with a 4.5 apr with 0 credit :D
now I have 1 student card and the car loan. Plus a school loan.
And I still can't get a regular credit card. At all

in the economy right now getting a credit card is going to be very difficult

Good luck.
