I am starting to think this AFEPPL dude has some sort of anti-Apple agenda. Find just about any thread on here where people are asking for advice on purchasing the watch and he says over and over again how much he hates it. Dude, we get it. You don't like the watch. You can leave now and let the rest of us give each other objective advice.

And i purchased an AW and tried it and confirmed my thoughts, then returned it.
But in the same way you "accuse" me, you should allow "others" to have a differing views to your all divine view. What makes your "opinion" better or worse than mine?

My opinion is no better or worse than anyone else's. I just know that I don't really post much here but read a lot and I see you all over the place spewing your vitriol. I don't get it, you don't like it. Fine. Don't use it. There are pluses and minuses just like with any other device. I have criticisms but I still like my watch. You, sir, seem to have some agenda against this device.

Do you work in banking? Noticed that your meeting mentioned BSA. I'm in Banking Compliance, which is why I ask.

Get a sport model now since it has the $50 price cut. If you find it useful then step up to the next gen when it happens to come out. I do not recommend getting the more expensive models if this would be your first apple watch.

It would be OPs second. He would have bought the first 6months ago now.

Guidelines: Show respect for your fellow posters. Expect and accept that other users may have strongly held opinions that differ from yours.

Rules:

  1. Name-calling. Name-calling falls into the category of insults and will be treated as such according to the forum rules, your own opinion about another member notwithstanding. You can't call a bigot a bigot, a troll a troll, or a fanboy a fanboy, any more than you can call an idiot an idiot. You can disagree with the content of another member's statement or give your evidence or opinion to dispute their claims, but you may not make a negative personal characterization about that member.
  2. Insults. Slurs and insults against groups of people based on negative-stereotyping and obvious generalizations fall into the category of trolling and will be treated as such.
  3. Taunting. Mocking or taunting another forum member is not acceptable. Posts that ridicule another member or obviously exaggerate or misstate their views may be removed.

Oops I didn't catch that and just responded when it was resurrected and showed up on the first page. six months ago I might have had different advice. I've been back and forth on what to do. Just got an iphone so now I'm willing to get a cheap sport model as long as it has the nylon band. If it works for me and fills a need I would invest in a premium one when the second gen comes out.
