Buying an iPad 2 on Launch Day

Apple Areas??

Hi, I'm not from US. Can anyone please tell me what "Apple Area" means?? I asked my cousine to buy iPad 2 for me and I sent him to BestBuy because I guess there's no way to pay with nonUS card in Apple Store and I want a 3G iPad. So I need to know, whether it's an "Apple Area" in Las Vegas. Thanx a lot.

Same here. Gonna hope for something on saturday! I was planning on getting in line during the wee hours of the morning when I thought it was going to be released when the store opened. But then it got bumped back to 5pm, the time I have to be at work, 5-11pm. Bad timing!

Ditto just ordered and was given 3-5 day window for shipping and 5 day delivery after ship. Does not sound like FAST free shipping to me. But I hold out hope that like alot of things Apple does they dont disappoint. They just give themselves lots of room to appear better when they beat there own guidelines.

Go to the main store page and then click on the iPad from there. Don't go to the iPad page.

If you do go to the iPad page, click "How To Buy" then click "Learn More." It should show up then too.

I've done every which way. Doesn't matter. Still shows Coming soon. Annoying!

Glad to see some people have gotten theirs though. Still have a few minutes before it was "officially" supposed to go on sale, so hopefully I'll be able to get one before they run out.

Edit: Got through at exactly 4:01am EST. Amazing the precision of Apple sometimes.

My understanding is that means there is an Apple Store nearby I do not recall if there was a specific distance or not.

My Walmart finally told me they received some but they only received Black models. He wouldn't comment on how many and what size.

Seems by looking at the Online orders they are wanting more product in store than online.

Yea, they have one at the Best Buy in Tysons Corner, VA. It's a nice little setup.

I'm surprised Walmart employees wouldn't know what's going on with the iPad 2 sales.

You have never bought a phone from WalMart, they barely know how to sell it and activate. They are not trained well, WalMart breaksw the Rule of Apple, knowledgeable sales people ( but so does At&t and Verizon)
